I somehow really love that this story is #33 in all comfort stories 🥹

"Alright, are we all ready?" Poppy stood in front of the group gathered, clapping her hands to get everyone's attention.

"The kid wrangling team," Poppy called out.

"We're good." Sebastian grinned with amusement, bumping his hip against Ominis who chuckled and bumped him back while Diane giggled.

"Guards in case something ridiculous happens," Poppy pointed to them.

"We'll fly ahead and make sure things are good before they head out of London." William nodded, his voice monotone since he didn't know Poppy well yet.

"Right." Connor said, conjuring his broom.

"We're not taking brooms." William scoffed, sounding offended.

"What? What else are we-" he let out a sound as William suddenly stood in front of him and wrapped his arms around him, the dark cloud of his magic surrounding their feet.

"Wait wait- that's going to cause too much attention!" Connor yelled as William crouched before taking off into the sky with him in a dark cloud that flew high into the clouds as Connor yelled in alarm, clutching at William desperately. William's laugh of amusement trailed off into the distance with them.

Diane giggled a bit as Ominis shook his head in dismay.

"I wanna learn how to fly like that." Sebastian pouted.

"No." Ominis smirked, swatting his arm in punishment for the thought. He caused enough trouble as it was with him on the ground.

"Alright, let's get going then." Poppy said happily, glad that they were so organized to get this done.

"Alrighty team Danny." Diane grinned, chuckling when Poppy scoffed with a little blush.

"Someone has to introduce him to the shop owner and show him around Kilin-" she started, but saw the amused face Diane made. "Ugh." She'd been played. How had Diane of all people played her? She'd taught her too well.

"Let's get going, you three." She huffed, stomping into the train in embarrassment as it waited at the Hogsmeade station.

"Team Danny?" Sebastian leaned over to question Diane.

"Oh come on, Sebastian. I'm blind and I saw that." Ominis chuckled.

"You're better with those things than I am." Sebastian scoffed defensively. Ironic considering how adamant she'd been against Danny learning about the Wizarding world.

"I'm so excited!" Diane said eagerly, clapping her hands together in joy. It was her turn to play matchmaker! They'd be so good together, and she knew Danny was a really nice guy so she wasn't worried about her friend being with him at all. The thought of two of her closest friends being together made her giddy with glee.

"Are you nervous about tomorrow?" Ominis asked Sebastian as they boarded the train. Tomorrow Sebastian was heading back to the Ministry for the first time since the incident with the Walsh family.

"Somewhat. It's always so unpredictable each time." Sebastian said vaguely since they were in public.

Ominis hummed in agreement, walking over to the small room they'd be in and settled in with all four of them sitting in the cabin.

"I'm nervous about the kids reacting to some things they might see." Poppy sighed softly once in her seat. "Kilin is a muggle town with a fairly large Wizarding community. Since Danny is living there in the Wizarding side, what if they see things and talk about it?" She sighed.
