Diane helped Ominis dry Sebastian off before they carried him to bed, laying him down and tucking him in before they both laid on either side of him to keep an eye on him while he slept.

"Do you think he'll be okay?" Ominis asked softly.

Diane reached up and felt his forehead gently, sighing in relief. "He's cooled back down, now. Hopefully he'll be fine."

"What was that? What do you think she did?" He asked in worry.

"I don't know." Diane said, tucking a bit of Sebastian's wet hair up from his eyes lovingly. "It must have been exhausting, though. He's so tired."

Ominis was silent for a while, simply listening to Sebastian's steady breathing. He had enjoyed earlier... even if he wasn't sure if Sebastian would remember doing it. He wish he could be more comfortable with him, but he was patient. He could wait.

"Midterms are coming soon." Diane whispered softly.

"Yeah, and that means Christmas break is soon." He smiled softly.

"I'm looking forward to spending more time with you two, where it's just us." Diane smiled. "I've missed these quiet nights."

"Me too, sweet." Ominis said softly. "Maybe we can even go back to the masquerade ball."

"I can dance with both of you." She chuckled. "And Sebastian won't run off this time."

"He'd better not, anyway." Ominis chuckled.

Diane was silent for another moment, running her fingers delicately through Sebastian's hair. "It always feels like he's taking the brunt of the world to defend us, doesn't it?" She asked softly.

"I wish he'd share the load... but I'm not sure he knows how to." Ominis sighed.

Diane sighed softly, quietly watching Sebastian sleep. "I'm going to keep an eye on him, you go ahead and get some sleep." She said softly.

"You sure?" Ominis asked, a bit concerned.

"I'll be fine. I want to make sure nothing else happens." She whispered.

Ominis let out a soft sigh. "Alright. Wake me up at midnight and I'll take a turn."

"Alright." She said softly. She reached out to put her hand over his as it rested on Sebastian's chest. "Goodnight, love."

Ominis smiled warmly. "Goodnight, sweet."

Sebastian woke the next morning with a splitting headache. He groaned as he sat up, cover shifting with his movement as he felt curls fall from his shoulder. He looked down to see Diane sleeping next to him, smiling warmly at the sight.

"How are you feeling?" Ominis asked softly from the other side of him.

Sebastian looked over to him, thoughts of last night filling his mind. It was hazy, but he definitely remembered what had happened. His cheeks turned red and he fought for a moment to get words out. "I'm better." He said, looking down at his chest and touching the place Love had sunk her hand into him, but there wasn't any sign that anything had happened. Not even a mark. The memory made him shudder at the intense pain it had been. She could have at least warned him before pulling off something like that.

"You gave us quite a scare." Ominis said, reaching out to touch his arm gently. "You came home burning up, and you didn't seem like yourself. What happened?"

"Love gave me part of her power. I guess I underestimated what she meant by 'burn'." He sighed.

"Part of her power?" Ominis frowned.
