- TIME SKIP: 5 MONTHS LATER -
JENNIE POV
"Sweetheart, we are so proud of you" Mom kisses my cheeks while Dad hands over a bouquet of my favorite blue roses then he said "I am very proud of you princess"
"Thank you, Mom, Dad" I smile and kiss their cheeks despite the camera flashes. The media came to my school after hearing the news that I'll be graduating that's why our security is being tripled today and the same as Lisa, I am graduating top of my class.
"Where i-is u-unnie? Is she coming?" I look around
"Right! I asked her to handle some of our important clients today so she might be late" Dad explains, earning a pinch on his waist from mom
"You know that she shouldn't miss her sister's event!"
"She will catch up okay honey?" Dad kiss Mom's cheeks but she ignored him
"Pranpriya should be focusing on her college degree, she can handle the company later" Mom coldly stated and hold my hand, dragging me with her "Let's go inside dear"
"Mom... Isn't Dad a little harsh on unnie?" I worriedly ask
"He is~ And your dad grew up in that kind of setup too. I'm just worried for your sister since she grew up on having limitations around her and now that she's free to go around, she won't be able to enjoy it that much" Mom sighs and stops, holding both of my shoulders to face her
"Please stay by her side no matter what happens, she only has you, Ruby Jane" Mom was getting teary eyed which I noticed.
"You know that we are inseparable Mom" I giggle and we both made our way inside to find our seats. Just like the usual, we got everyone's attention, they start taking pictures or photos of mom and me. Dad came in later a few minutes before the program started but I was expecting someone else.
The program went smoothly and received their awards, taking pictures till it was my turn.
"And for class valedictorian, Ruby Jane Manoban" The school director announced and I got up from my seat to receive my diploma and medallion. Mom and Dad came up and we had a few photos before we came back to our respective seats.
"Girl! Congratulations!" My friends squeal and I give them each a hug. We all gigle and I went back to my seat
"Where are you Li?" I mumble and tried messaging her for the 20th time today. I slam my phone on my lap and cross my arms "I hate you~"
"You alright Ruby?" Mina taps my arm and I responded with a nod.
As the ceremony ended, I had a few pictures with my friends, classmates and random strangers then we headed to my favorite restaurant which I requested for a simple celebration with my family where I also invited Rosie, Jackson and Jin to come since Mina, Joy and Nayeon are having their own celebrations
"Ruby! Congratulations!" Jackson come in with Jin and I both gave them a hug before they settledown, giving out their gifts
"Where is Pran?" Jin asks
"She will be here maybe she's late" Mom explains and we all started our meal even Roseanne and Lisa isn't around. Eventually, we already finished the main course but Lisa didn't showed up.
"Try calling Pranpriya" Dad utters where Jin offered that he will be the one to do it. He put it on speaker but her phone can't be reached
"What about Dara?" I stood up from my seat and tried calling Dara and gladly she answered in just a ring
