Chuuya groaned in pain as he woke up, head aching.

They did it. They defeated the tentacle fucker who kidnapped Q and Atsushi.

As he woke up, he recalled what happened during the battle between him, Dazai and the fucker, as well as that other kid with him.

The motherfucker was so undeniably strong, and apparently wasn't even using an ability, because once Dazai interfered and touched him, nothing happened, to the point where Chuuya had to use it.

For the tainted Sorrow.

He hated that fucking thing. Arahabaki.

His ability was truly a nightmare to control once he tapped into the monster, god, that laid beneath his skin.

As he looked around, he couldn't help but note that he was at the infirmary, back at the PM.

One thing he hated more than his ability was the damned hospital bed.

All institutions that "helped" people, actually. Fuck the smell of antiseptocs.

"Morning, hat rack." His annoyance of a friend waved, with Atsushi by his side, the boy seemingly fine.

Thank fuck .

"How are you doing, Atsushi?" He asked, instead of paying Dazai's playfulness any mind.

"I'm…fine. How are you doing though, Chuuya-san?" The boy asked, his eyes shining in concern.

"Oh, peachy. I could , however, go for some wine." He yawned, as he stretched out and tried getting up, his body, however, taking a damned screenshot as he did so and making him sit back down on the bed instead.

"Easy! You overdid it." Dazai commented, as he put a hand on his shoulder, making him arch his brow.

"And whose fault is that? Told you to interfere sooner, bastard." The redhead rolled his eyes, but still appreciated the….concern, well, in Dazai's own way.

"Where's the fun in that?" The brunet chuckled, making him sigh.

"Anyways, you gave our little tiger a heart attack , y'know?" The comment made him curiously glance towards the boy, his and Dazai's conversation still fresh in his mind.

"Oh?" He asked, as he smirked, tilting his head, hair falling into his eyes, without his usual hat.

"Yeah….seeing you come back looking like that wasn't pleasant." The tiger muttered, as he stared down at Chuuya in a way that made the executive feel oddly warm.

So this was the care that Dazai spoke of. Being cared about, whilst being one of the strongest people on earth, hell, the strongest in the mafia, was a damn nice feeling, he'd admire. That concerned face made him almost smile, but he held it together pretty well.

"Were you worried about only him, Atsushi-kun?" Dazai asked as he pouted and locked his hands around Atsushi's waist, causing the executive to roll his eyes. Damned mackerel.

"I was worried about both of you. I'm glad you're okay." The boy said, as he allowed himself to be hugged by Dazai, who only squealed like a little girl.

"Oh my god , you're just the dumbest little tiger! You got kidnapped and trapped in enemy territory, yet here you are. Worrying about us and asking us if we're okay." The man chuckled, but there was a certain amount of seriousness below the surface, as he stared at the boy, brown eyes curious as to what happened during the tiger's abduction, and he wouldn't deny that he too was more than curious about what the bastards did to Atsushi, but he still just sighed in turn, feeling a tad bit too exhausted to do a verbal report with his subordinate right now.

"I…a lot happened. But I'm fine. I think. I'm mostly shaken up from watching Q's torture." The boy explained, as he pushed himself closer to Dazai, expression grim.

Pause.

He took a second to look at the boy. Not only did Atsushi seem shaken up, he seemed….different.

"What exactly did they do to Q to make them curse the city?" The redhead asked, as he gripped his forehead, an exhausted yawn making its presence known, his head pounding.

"I don't know exactly , but….the screams. They were horrendous." He shuddered as he even thought of them, face twisting in discomfort. Chuuya's blue eyes haven't failed to notice the comforting, protective hand of Dazai's around the boy tightening its hold, almost as if to tell him that it was okay. "I don't think anyone should have to go through that." The tiger frowned, as he stared at the floor, clearly bothered by the imagery.

"Q…they, uhm, kind of had a mental breakdown by the end and stopped saying anything, even screaming." The boy mumbled, as he shivered. "Then, by the end, I suppose they cursed the city and once that happened, they just passed out."

He hummed in confirmation and tried to stand again, before Atsushi reached out a hand and helped him steady himself.

"I'm pretty beat from that damned thing we fought. I think I've had enough of this entire situation. It seems…semi-resolved for now." He sighed, as he recalled seeing Dazai grab Q's passed out body like a damned trash bag and throw him and Chuuya over his shoulder, carrying the two of them to the location where the helicopter should've been waiting for them. "So, I want to head back home right now." The redhead finally muttered, as he tried to walk a few steps, only to get suddenly dizzy.

Before he could fumble his steps though, he felt Atsushi's hand around his shoulder, which made him take a good look at the boy.

"Let me help you to the car, Dazai-san already guessed you'd be antsy about staying at the infirmary for longer than necessary." The tiger explained, worry seeping both in his tone and on his face.

"Fine." He grumbled, as he leaned some of his weight onto the boy, and looked at Dazai, who watched the pair with a fond little smile.

"You better stop grinning like a lunatic and come with us, right now, damned walking bag of bandages." He muttered under his breath, as he gripped Atsushi's shoulder and finally made his annoyance of a baggage follow by the boy's other side.

Like hell he'll let Dazai do his own thing and push people away, the redhead thought, as they exited the room.
