What would've happened if Dazai never left and INSTEAD became the boss? And he came across an...interesting little...

As he walked out of the infirmary, half of his body still felt like it was hit by a truck, rolled up in a carpet, tied with weight and dropped at the bottom of the ocean.
But he still had work to do. And after his fuck up, he couldn't afford to take a break.
So the tiger took a deep breath, his head pounding, as he headed to the office, in the semi-torn clothes from the fight. Now he knew why he had a full fucking suitcase of the same outfit carried in for him once he picked his work uniform out.
As soon as he got back home, and home was a funny word, his mind chirped, as he remembered that he had a place to return to, a warm one. He'd take a shower. Perhaps if he's feeling particularly fancy, he'd take a hot one. One that made the ache in his bones stronger, one that made him blank out with the soft mist of the condensation, one that made his thoughts evaporate.
He couldn't help but grimace as he sat down, feeling the semi healed wound open again. The healing ability of the tiger should've taken care of that, but it was working slower due to the fatigue. Since he had abused his ability of healing quite a bit since he began working.
The tiger typed in the password, watching his screen light up. It was currently 6:08pm, meaning that most of his team was likely gone, due to their reports being finished, yet here he was, writing his own. He couldn't help but groan, as he began writing the first passage. How should he even do this?
Should he just type in the whole verbal report he's given Chuuya?
Should he make it a bit more proper? How does one even formulate a report that would go to their goddamn boss.
Instead of worrying about it any longer, he decided to allow his fingers to take the job, brain still a bit foggy from the entire fight.
"Where's your subject title?" A voice purred from behind him, making him yelp and turn around to throw a punch, his fight or flight response kicking in.
A smooth, bandaged hand came around his own, instead of impact, which made him actually scream in terror.
"Dazai-san?!" Atsushi couldn't help but gasp, suddenly filled with dread.
"My, my! How brave of you." The man chuckled, as he gripped Atsushi's hand and made him wince. Somehow, whenever the man touched him, he felt less safe. Fearful, like he was about to get eaten alive by a beast. "First you mess up on your first mission and now you try to sucker-punch your employer?!" He gasped dramatically, as he pulled Atsushi closer and made him bite down on his bottom lip worriedly.
"Uh...I'm sorry?" The tiger mustered, as he stared up in the bottomless pit of those honey eyes.
"No need to feel sorry now, Atsushi-kun. I'll make sure the punishment makes you feel sorry instead." The sheer mention of the punishment made him gulp, but he still managed to keep a straight face, as he instead focused on the warmth radiating from behind him as his boss reached out for his keyboard. He took his own hands off of the keys, instead letting them lay awkwardly on his lap, as he watched the jumbled mess he wrote down become a bit more coherent.
"But anyways, let me help you write that report of yours." He nodded in turn, as he gripped his pants, biting down on his lip. Atsushi was not good with physical closeness.
Yet, the warm and fuzzy feeling of the body pressed against the back of the chair he was sitting on, was sort of oddly comforting. And so was the soft breath on the back of his neck.
"I wanna go back home and I'm not the kind of person to ditch my employees and leave them all alone." Dazai dramatically spoke, as he began editing more and more of his words, switching them over. "What would I do if you got lost on the way?" He wanted to be offended at the claim that he'd get lost on the way back to Dazai's, but at this point, he really couldn't even feel agitated. He would get lost in the neighborhood.
It's so big to the point where he gets dizzy whenever he passes by any of the houses.
"Chibi-kun would kill me!" The tiger couldn't help but chuckle at how fast his boss could switch from theme to theme and mood to mood.
It was comical, really. He could be terrorizing him one second, teasing him the next, making him shiver in fear before returning to his menacing personality, with the switches barely taking a moment.
"Anyways, I do want you to know that I'm kind of mad at you for that little mess up, dear At-su-shi-kun!" He sighed, as he put his chin on the tiger's shoulder, using him as a pillow as he crouched behind him a bit to see what he was exactly doing. "I might have to ask Chuuya to make your punishment a bit harsher."
"He was requesting a simple one, which I disagree with." Oh. So Chuuya wanted to go easy on him. "A few kicks won't let you know just how annoying the fact that you let your emotions disrupt the mission was." Oh . A few fucking kicks was him going easy. Well, he could do nothing but mentally prepare himself for the incoming punishment.
"Honestly, I'm thinking of taking your punishment on myself." Now that was even more terrifying. Your actual boss , a man who didn't even find his own life worth living, having yours in the palm of his hands.
Like he sensed the sudden worry radiating off of him, Dazai nuzzled closer and smirked against his skin, as he put one of his hands around the boy's shoulder and squeezed in comfort, as he typed the last few words in with the other one.
"But, don't worry too much, I'll make sure to kiss it better right after, kitty!"
Huh.
Kiss it better.
Kiss it better?
The flush on his face must've been clear, because his boss suddenly laughed, breathy and loud, the sound vibrating next to his ear.
"Relax! We should, however, get back home, because I'm really hungry." He grumbled, as he pulled the boy up, literally picked him up by the coat and made him yelp. "What do you want, eh? I'm thinking of Chazuke."
The fact that his boss remembered that he liked Chazuke, back from when they first met, that he even cared enough to remember, made him feel concerningly warm.
"Yeah....I'd love Chazuke." The tiger smiled, because fuck it. He might get his ass handed to him by this man in a few days, but right now, he'd just tune that out of his brain and take the kindness currently offered to him instead.
