What would've happened if Dazai never left and INSTEAD became the boss? And he came across an...interesting little...

As Atsushi woke up, he couldn't help but rub his eyes, his neck aching and spine tingling uncomfortably, from the sleeping position.
"Finally awake, little tiger?" Dazai grinned from his lap, his eyes looming and deep.
"Dazai-san?" He muttered, as he stretched his back, confused by the presence. "Why didn't you move once you woke up?" The tiger found himself asking, as he stared down, feeling the man shift a bit and reach out towards his face, the fingertips trailing his features burning him alive.
"Why should I?" He chuckled, as he pulled Atsushi closer again and stared up into his eyes.
Brown and sunset purple met, and the world seemed to slow down around them.
Dazai's breath was warm, he realized, as the man held him close, the puffs of air against his face made him look down, down at the parted chapped lips.
"After you were so kind, to let me use you like a pillow…did you think I'd leave?" The thumb from his cheek, trailed to his lip. And he felt almost too stunned to breathe, let alone move or talk. "My, how promiscuous do you think I am?" The words barely registered, in his brain, for some odd reason.
It almost felt like too much, the glance, almost longing, the touch wistful and gentle, almost tender.
"Dazai-san…" He whispered, under his breath, unable to say anything else, as he got hypnotized by the honey brown eyes.
The almost enchanting moment got broken by Chuuya, who pushed a cup of coffee between the two, and made the tiger look away in embarrassment, as he finally got released.
"Okay, I'll really kick your ass if you don't stop making him all flustered, you're gonna give him a damned aneurysm at this point." The redhead grumbled, making the flush spread further, up to the tiger's ears.
" Chuuya , you're such a party pooper! We were having a moment here." The brunet whined, but still took the coffee, raising his head and finally sitting up.
"Yeah, a moment of you being a menace and him having to deal with it. Now drink that coffee so we can head to work." His executive rolled his eyes, as he passed Atsushi a cup as well, making him smile at the man in appreciation.
"Ugh, Chibi-kun is a bore." Their boss muttered, as he took a sip, and leaned against the couch. He couldn't help but chuckle at the ridiculous situation.
If someone just saw the scene between them, they'd think the redhead was the boss instead of the brunet.
"Chuuya-san, isn't today important?" He questioned as he tilted his head and blinked up curiously, getting a nod in turn.
"Today is the day I train you and the rest of the faction, all together." He sighed, as he spared Atsushi a stern look. "We need to see how well you fall into their rhythm." The tiger nodded in turn, as he took a sip. He supposed that they were going to see who fits best with whose ability, so that they could be split in case of a mission pile-up, from what Tachihara has told him about their faction. Since they were the black faction, they had a lot , and he means a lot of shit to do, so just four people, a single team, could never successfully finish that.
Sometimes, they would split into teams of two people. For example, the team up that they mainly went for before Atsushi joined was Tachihara and Gin and Akutagawa and Kyouka.
Now, though, they would have to check each other's compatibility all over again.
He hoped that he could be either joined with Tachihara, hell even Gin , because being closer to Akutagawa any more than he already was sounded like a nightmare.
'We also need to see how well you hold up against the team, to check where you fall in the ranks." That too, was rather familiar to him. He's read a lot in their paperwork about the ranks and about the general power system. Surprisingly, Chuuya was the one on top of the list, and not Dazai. It did make sense to him, that in meaning of raw power, Chuuya would beat all the rest.
But, even still. With Dazai's intelligence and the fact that he can make Chuuya's ability disappear within a second, Atsushi couldn't help but think of that ranking system as flawed. Many things should be considered, when it comes down to it, in his opinion, that weren't being considered nor talked about in the reports.
"Do not underestimate them." His executive growled, making him nod in understanding.
" Any of them." Chuuya sighed, as he sat down in the armchair and took a sip of his own coffee, scrunching his nose, before adding a bit more sugar.
"Especially not Akutagawa." The tiger couldn't help but roll his eyes, at the mention. "His ability is one of the more powerful ones around." He also knew that, from the ranking system, but he wasn't about to outright snitch on his own snooping. "So powerful in fact, that he had the chance to become an executive, at one point." Now, that made him curious. But, instead of asking questions, he only nodded and allowed himself to take another sip of coffee, trying to clear his head.
"Plus, Dazai himself will be watching the match, so you know damn well that he's going to be a try-hard" The redhead mumbled, as he took another sip. "Got it." The boy muttered in turn, as he looked off to the wall.
"I recommend you to go all out if needed."
The sentence made him snap his head back and blink.
"What if I end up losing control?" Atsushi questioned, somewhat alarmed.
"We have Dazai there for a reason. Maybe he'll finally be useful for once in his pathetic life." The redhead shrugged, causing their boss to whimper.
"You're such a meanie! I'm telling Kouyou-san!" Dazai cried out, as he dramatically fainted onto Atsushi's shoulder, not before setting the coffee down on the table.
"Do not bother Ane-san or I'm going to shove my foot so far up your ass, you're gonna puke it out!" The redhead barked as he threw one of the pillows from the armchair at Dazai's head, missing him by an inch, as the man moved, and instead hitting Atsushi, who only gasped in turn.
"Human shield!" The brunet grinned, as he hid behind Atsushi and made Chuuya almost seethe in rage from his spot, clearly ready to kick their boss's ass.
"You're both like children." The tiger mumbled under his breath, as he gripped his cup and brought it to his lips again.
"I'm gonna kill you!" Chuuya growled, as he got up from his spot and went after the brunet behind him.
God , he was surrounded by grown toddlers, the boy thought, as he sipped his coffee amidst the chaos, and allowed himself to calm down and properly wake up.
The touch of Dazai's fingers still lingered atop his lips, for some odd reason.
