MMM I sense a confession, finally
He awoke once again, to an empty bed. Dazai apparently was just drunk enough to crave some sort of comfort over his internal conflict and Atsushi was just near enough for him to take that said comfort.
But, he didn't feel used. He felt like…it was a mutual transaction, in a way. Cuddling the man was nice, no matter how much he disliked his room smelling like bourbon.
That, and comforting Dazai made him feel….useful. Doing anything to please someone made him feel like he had a purpose. In a way, if he wasn't helping or making someone's life easier, he felt like he didn't deserve to live his own.
He felt like he didn't deserve happiness, unless he provided it. Didn't deserve comfort, unless he passed it on to another.
He knew that that was probably his deep rooted trauma talking, but the fact that his boss would come to him, drunk and tired, to hug him, was almost….endearing.
The only difference between now and the first time this has happened, was the fact that there was no note this time around. There was , however, a soft knock against his door.
"Atsushi-kun!" The voice of the man he was just thinking about chirped through the crack, making him bite down on his lip nervously.
"Come in, Dazai-san." The tiger muttered, as he sat up on the bed and cracked his neck, to try and get the ache of sleep out of his somehow still tired body.
And once the man walked in, he noticed two things.
One, he seemed….odd. More so than usual. And two, he wasn't alone.
Chuuya was right there too, looking almost as conflicted as he was during his punishment.
"We gotta talk." The redhead sighed, making him blink.
He felt slightly worried as he nodded, wondering what he did wrong.
Dazai was the first to move. Step closer to the bed and sit at the edge, as closely as possible without the two of them touching.
And Chuuya walked to sit across the man, near Atsushi's leg.
"Uh….? Did, did I do something wrong?" The tiger asked as he looked between the two, seeing Chuuya's face flash with a hundred different emotions, whilst Dazai just sat there, looking at him.
"Yeah. Something very wrong." Dazai scolded, as he crossed his arms and sent him a cold look, making him flinch.
"You stole our hearts!"
What?
Was the only thought in his head, as he blinked.
Before he saw Chuuya slap the back of Dazai's head so hard that the man legitimately whimpered.
"What this dumb fuck meant to say, was that…" The redhead trailed off, nervously. That what?
"Chibi-kun, carry on, you're making even me nervous with that pause!" Dazai whined, as he rubbed the back of his head and trailed one of his hands atop Atsushi's own..
"Why don't you do it, then, smartass?" The executive glared, causing their boss to grin lazily. "You and I both know my way with words isn't that…poetic." The man only smiled in turn, making the executive growl.
"Oh for Gods sake, we want you to date us."
"Date?" He asked, just to make sure. "I mean, if you want to, of course." Chuuya backtracked, as he crossed his arms across his chest and avoided Atsushi's confused gaze.
