He felt….
Anxious.
No…. nervous.
Yeah.
That was the right word. His whole body was shaky and his palms were sweaty, yet he was excited. Excited to go on this date.
According to Dazai, their date was to start at six. And he was to entertain himself, buy stuff he wanted and a car was going to pick him up at around five thirty, to drive him to the location of their date, at the yamashita park.
And right now, as he sat on the bench at the said park, time ticking to five twenty nine, he felt like he was going to have a nervous breakdown at any second.
Although he did feel comfortable in his outfit, he also felt like he….kind of looked underwhelming.
It wasn't exactly…exactly uniform, or perhaps better word for it would be a formal kind of an outfit.
It was loose and more messy, just like he felt he was.
A pure white blouse, instead of a dress shirt, one with a slightly loose vibe, paired with a creamy coat that went down to the boy's knees and tight fitting pants in the same warm beige color, paired with his usual hair pin from Kyouka and Dazai's bracelet.
And…just to add a bit of, as Nakahara would say, style to the outfit, he added a necklace he saw at one of the stores. It was plain, but he really adored the beauty and yet simplicity of it.
It was a silver one, that glinted in the light ever so often, one that had a small little locket hanging from its end, perhaps a bit short, but just enough to reach his chest.
The whole look was topped by simple shoes, one that completed the outfit, completely black and laid back, comfortable and warm.
And as the car finally arrived, he checked himself out in the tinted window.
He didn't exactly hate how he looked, he just hoped the two wouldn't take him to some kind of a fancy event and leave him the odd one out.
Then again, no said dress code was put in place.
The tiger just chucked all of the thoughts out of the window, as he opened the door of the backseat and got inside, wordlessly greeting the driver and smiling nervously at him as he put his seatbelt on.
Would Dazai and Chuuya be dressed the same as always? Or would they perhaps…perhaps change up a few things?
He tried to imagine them in something other than their clearly prestigious designer clothing and failed to do so.
He could already guess that Dazai's hair would be the only messy thing about him tonight, and that perhaps Chuuya's un-ironed dress shirt would be the only thing about him .
Whilst both cared about fashion and understood it better than him, Dazai had the problem of not giving a damn about how his hair looked in contrast to his clothes, and Chuuya had the habit of throwing his shirts everywhere and letting them crumple up and wrinkle, yet never iron them.
Yet, oddly enough, that actually suited them the best.
He only zoned back into the present once the car came to a halt, in front of….
A restaurant.
An oddly familiar one.
And as the realization finally hit, he remembered why the restaurant was familiar in the first place.
This was the place they took him in when they first met.
The very same one he was offered money to be tiger bait for himself.
