"what?" y/n whispered, eyebrows furrowed. "what do you mean you 'almost' kissed someone?"

"i-" billie began, only to be cut off.

"were you like about to kiss someone but then realized you had a girlfriend? or did you just end up being interrupted?" y/n questioned as she stared at billie through the facetime.

"the latter." billie mumbled and y/n's eyes grew wide.

"so you would've kissed said person if you hadn't been interrupted?" she asked in a timid voice, quite scared to learn the answer.

billie only nodded slowly, a scoff escaping y/n's lips. she couldn't believe billie would've kissed someone else if she hadn't been interrupted.

"you're kidding, right?"

she didn't care about the fact that billie hadn't actually kissed someone. the thought was still there. she was about to kiss someone and would've gone through with it had she not been interrupted.

"i'm sorry." billie said sincerely and y/n just had an unreadable expression on her face. she really didn't know how to feel.

"who was it? what happened?" y/n asked, trying her best to stay calm.

"i don't know who it was." billie answered honestly and it became harder for y/n to control herself. was billie really about to throw away everything they had for some random person? "she was at the party finneas and claudia had the day you left."

her fists balled, y/n took in deep breaths. she hadn't even left la for twenty four hours and billie had already thrown herself at someone else.

"and i would've kissed her if you hadn't called me and interrupted." billie continued and y/n didn't know how much longer she could stay calm. she recalled billie being a little off at some point during their call. so this was the reason.

"so, what you just met some random girl and decided that you wanted to kiss her?"

"what? no! i didn't want to kiss her." billie said immediately which made y/n furrow her eyebrows. this was confusing.

"but you said you were about to kiss her?" y/n asked, confusion laced in her voice.

"well yeah! it was a dare!"

y/n let out a sigh of relief as she felt all of her muscles relax while she clutched her chest. billie had really got her this worked up just to say the kiss was a dare. "oh my god billie. maybe you should've started with the fact that it was a dare?"

"oh." billie said as a cheeky grin took over her lips. "right, sorry. it was a dare."

"you idiot!" y/n laughed as she shook her head. "nearly gave me a heart attack."

billie giggled softly. "sorry. but if i'd kissed her would you have been mad?"

y/n thought for a few seconds before shrugging. "probably not. i mean, it was only a dare after all. although if i were there i would've probably definitely punched whoever gave you the stupid dare."

billie couldn't help but laugh at her words. "that would've been hot though." she said and y/n went bright red which only made billie laugh harder.

the sound of the doorknob turning made y/n turn away from her phone to see who was entering and she groaned inwardly as she saw lanie walking inside the hotel room. not because she didn't like lanie or anything of that sort, but because billie was here. and billie hated lanie.

"hey y/n!" lanie grinned as she walked over to her and hugged her from behind, y/n's eyes growing wide as she let out a nervous chuckle. she was well aware of the fact that billie was probably fuming.
