"i can't fucking believe her." billie sobbed into the phone. "and as if it isn't bad enough already, it's with lanie of all people!"
it was currently the next morning and billie had spent the rest of the previous day either crying or throwing things out of anger. she just couldn't believe the fact that y/n was with lanie.
and she couldn't help but think that y/n had cheated.
"billie hey calm down. she might not even have cheated! i'm a hundred percent sure that they're just friends." claudia tried telling her but billie didn't want to hear it.
"no claud. i saw the picture. they didn't look like they were just friends."
"she's madly in love with you! she wouldn't do that to you. y/n wouldn't do something like that." claudia tried again but only failed.
"y/n wouldn't lie to me either! but she did, she lied plenty of times. i'm so sick of this, claudia! i just want her to fucking love me!" billie cried out and claudia's heart broke at her words.
a long sigh later, claudia spoke. "why don't i come over? we'll hang out and have fun, yeah?"
billie let out a muffled "okay" before hanging up.
it only took a few minutes for claudia to come over and as soon as she sat down on the couch, billie broke down in her arms. she kept saying "i miss her" between sobs over and over and over again and it tore claudia apart to see billie like this.
"shh, it's okay." claudia whispered to her as she held her close. "i promise you that there's nothing going on between them."
"how- how do you know that?" billie choked out and claudia held her tighter.
"because i know y/n." billie only sobbed louder at this, holding onto claudia tightly.
"everything's going to be okay." claudia said softly as she rubbed billie's back. "she loves you more than anything."
"it doesn't seem like it." billie cried as she buried her face in claudia's neck. "it feels like she's falling out of love with me."
"she's not!" claudia exclaimed immediately as she held billie even tighter. "she loves you, i swear. she's probably just overwhelmed with work. and i know that's not an excuse but try cutting her some slack. this is her dream job and it's a big deal. i'm sure she's just really nervous and overwhelmed."
"so she can treat me like shit just because she's nervous?" billie said in a shaky voice as she pulled away from the hug, trying her best to stop crying. "she can lie to me just because she's overwhelmed?"
claudia sighed softly as she shook her head. "no. you're right." she mumbled before standing up. "i'll be back."
billie was about to ask her what happened but she was gone before she could. furrowing her eyebrows, billie shrugged as she leaned back on the couch and closed her eyes.
claudia made her way to the backyard as she dialed y/n's number, ready to raise the devil with her. she physically could not believe how much pain y/n was causing billie.
"hey claud-"
"what the fuck is wrong with you?" claudia cut her off as she sat down on one of the chairs. "do you have any idea how much you've hurt billie?"
y/n let out a long sigh upon hearing claudia's words. she was sick and tired of hearing about what a bad girlfriend she was. she already knew she was terrible, what was the point in saying it over and over again.
but she also knew that she deserved it so she just co-operated.
"that girl has spent the past two days crying over you! i cannot fucking believe how you're treating her." claudia scoffed and y/n tried speaking up but the brunette cut her off yet again.
