anniversary

y/n groaned softly as she stirred awake, her eyes slowly opening as she felt a weight shift in her arms. she squinted in order to adjust to the natural light before looking down at her body, a smile forming on her face when she saw her girlfriend mumbling something in her sleep.

"fucking adorable." y/n whispered as she held her close, yawning as she ran her fingers through billie's hair. she admired her as she watched her sleep for a few minutes.

it was their anniversary today. they were still in the log cabin in the woods so they were planning on properly celebrating their anniversary once they went back home, but they were still going to have fun today. y/n couldn't believe it had been an entire year since billie was hers. one full year of being able to call the woman her girlfriend.

"hi pretty girl." y/n said softly as billie moved around in her arms, her eyes struggling to open as she bunched up y/n's shirt in her hand.

"five more minutes." billie mumbled and y/n couldn't help but chuckle, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"happy anniversary." she whispered before billie could fully fall asleep again and that was more than enough to jolt her awake, her eyes shooting open as she stared at y/n.

billie's smile came on it's own as she replied, "happy anniversary baby." reaching out to wrap her arms around y/n's neck, she squealed when the actress pulled her on top of her.

y/n grabbed the back of billie's head to pull her in for a kiss but was stopped by billie placing her hands in between their lips. "nope! not kissing you with morning breath." billie said with a cheeky grin and y/n gave her a playful eyeroll.

"come on, it's our anniversary! just shut up and kiss me." y/n tried pushing billie's hands away but the blonde wouldn't budge.

"all the more reason to have a proper kiss without morning breath." billie said, her hands still between their lips.

y/n groaned before turning over which made billie roll off her, surprised at the sudden action. "where are you going?" she asked softly when y/n stood up and took a step forward.

"to brush so that your hygienic ass will kiss me." y/n mumbled as she reached her hand out for billie to hold. "you coming?"

billie nodded as she took y/n's hand and got off the bed, following behind her as they walked into the bathroom. they grabbed their brushes and toothpaste as they began cleaning their teeth, giggling at each others' paste filled faces in the mirror.

"you're so cute with paste on your face." y/n commented as she spit some water out, rinsing her toothbrush before drying her mouth.

she watched billie blush through the mirror as she spit out water as well, turning to face y/n after cleaning her mouth. "you're so cute with and without paste." billie spoke as y/n pulled her in by the waist, her cheeks turning red as a smile took over her lips.

"can i get my kiss now?" y/n asked with puckered lips.

billie couldn't help but laugh as she let out a small "yeah" before bringing her hands around y/n's neck, getting on her tippy toes to kiss her.

y/n hugged billie by her waist as she brought her close and smiled into the kiss, one of billie's hand reaching to cup her cheek.

they pulled away soon, not wanting to get carried away and get caught like they did the previous day. "i love you." billie whispered as she held y/n's hands, their foreheads pressed against each other.

"i love you more." y/n said as she placed a soft kiss on billie's lips before grinning.

"now get out, i need to pee."
