"cut!" tim yelled once they'd finally got the shot they needed. "good job everyone! take a quick break now, we'll shoot the next scene in ten."

everyone scurried off so that the crew could get the cameras and props ready for the next scene, y/n and frankie, a fellow actor, giving each other fist bumps in honor of finishing their scene.

it was the second day that billie was in new york and the previous night, y/n and joshua had gone out for dinner with billie, finneas and claudia. they'd all finally reconnected and y/n felt at peace with where things were at in her life.

"billie?" y/n gasped softly when she saw the singer standing a little away, waving at her.

the actress ran up to her and wrapped her arms tightly around billie's waist, lifting her off her feet as she spun her around which made billie squeal in delight.

"hi!" billie giggled when y/n put her back down, pecking her lips.

"what are you doing here? how long have you even been here?" y/n asked as she led billie to one of the seats in the corner.

"i wanted to come see you, i missed you. and i've been here for like twenty something minutes." billie replied, placing a soft kiss on y/n's lips.

"i missed you too." y/n said with a sweet smile. "wait, i want you to meet someone." she stood up, gesturing for billie to do the same.

billie took y/n's hand as the actress led her to the girl who'd been waiting to meet billie for a long time. "sof!" she called out, making her turn around and face y/n.

"y/n! hey what's up?" she asked, her eyes falling on the green-haired girl next to her.

"billie, this is sofia. she's practically my best friend at this point." y/n said with a slight laugh as billie smiled at the taller woman in front of them.

"and sof, this-" she began, only to be cut off.

"billie! nice to finally meet you, y/n literally never shuts up about you." sofia said as the two of them hugged, leaving y/n flushed at sofia's comment.

she watched as the two of them conversed but was all too tired from her previous scene to stand any longer. so she walked back over to her seat and went on her phone, occassionally looking up to see billie still gleefully chatting with sofia.

billie was always easy to get along with. she was such a reliable person and everyone cherished her. everytime she'd talk to someone new, she'd talk to them with an open mind.

which is why y/n didn't understand why billie didn't like lanie. the girl was her friend, why couldn't billie be fine with that?

perhaps it was jealousy but still, billie had nothing to be jealous of. lanie and y/n were only friends after all.

she soon snapped out of her thoughts when she felt arms snake around her neck, looking up to see billie taking a seat on her lap. "hi." she whispered and y/n's breath hitched at the sight in front of her.

no matter how many times she tried to wrap her head around how gorgeous billie was, she could never fully process it. billie's beauty left her awestruck every single time.

"hey." y/n breathed out as she grabbed billie's waist, holding her in place.

"sofia is so nice." billie said with a smile as she looked into y/n's eyes. "i like her a lot."

y/n grinned at this, holding her girlfriend close. "i know, me too."

suddenly, something changed. billie's eyes grew a darker shade and a red tint formed on her cheeks as she looked down. and that's when y/n realized that she'd involuntarily been rocking billie back and forth on her thigh and billie was probably growing aroused due to the friction.
