happier than ever

"cut!" tim yelled once they were done with the scene and y/n let out a sigh of relief as she walked away from the cameras. they'd been shooting that scene for almost an hour and she was beyond happy to finally get it right.

she walked over to where joshua and sofia were sitting and reached for a water bottle, sitting down between them before gulping it down.

speaking of joshua, he was as fit as a fiddle now. his health had never been better and y/n couldn't be more grateful to still have him by her side.

"that took a while." sofia said, referring to the shot y/n had just done with matt.

"yeah." y/n breathed out, tired from shooting a single scene for that long. she rested her head on joshua's shoulder while he scrolled through his phone.

"you okay there?" she asked him when she noticed that he hadn't said much all day apart from when he had to follow the script.

joshua looked down at her before nodding hesitantly. "i guess."

"what's wrong?" she sat up straight, her eyebrows furrowed as she studied his tired face.

a long sigh left his lips as he shook his head. "it's nothing. just..sabrina and i were spotted outside the other day and the comments are so.." he traied off as he scrolled through them, his face falling as he read each one.

but before he could continue reading more, y/n snatched the phone away from him and turned it off. "hey!" joshua exclaimed as he tried to reach for it, failing miserably as y/n passed it over to sofia who was too far away for joshua to reach from his seat.

"nuh uh. you need to stop reading these comments. pay no mind to them. you're in a happy, commited relationship and that's all that matters. they're just jealous."

joshua frowned as he slumped down in his seat with his arms folded over his chest, his eyebrows furrowed. y/n couldn't help but laugh at how grumpy he seemed as she took his phone from sofia and gave it back to him, warning him not to go through any more comments if he wanted his relationship to last.

"y/n!" tim called out and she looked in his direction, spotting him waving at her from across. "can i talk to you?" he yelled over the noise and y/n stood up as she jogged over to him.

she smiled upon reaching where he was, knowing what this was about. billie was releasing her album, happier than ever, in a few days and she wanted y/n there at the album release party. so y/n had asked tim if she could go for a few days and he said he'd get back to her after thinking about it.

"yeah?"

"listen.." he began, running his fingers through his hair as he gave her an apologetic smile. "i'm sorry but i'm afraid i can't let you go for a few days."

"what?" y/n asked with furrowed eyebrows. she was sure tim would say yes.

"we can't lose any more time, i'm sorry. we're already running behind schedule even though we've extended filming by two months." he said and y/n let out a long sigh.

"well- can i go for just one day?" y/n asked in a desparate attempt to be with billie on the day she was releasing her project.

"listen, i'd love for you to go and be with your girlfriend but i'm afraid that's not possible. we're running on a really tight schedule and filming times are going to be extended as well. i don't think we can afford to let you go, even for just a day."

y/n frowned at him as she nodded slowly, knowing there was nothing she could do about this. at least she tried. "yeah. i get it."

"i'm sorry." he said as he patted the side of her arm. "i really am. we just can't lose time right now."
