the sound of the doorbell ringing caught billie's attention as she stood up from her seat on the couch and walked towards the door.
it was the next day and billie had finally had some time to calm down. she was still beyond pissed at y/n but she could see things clearer.
she definitely felt much better about the whole situation, realizing she was overreacting just a bit. at least y/n was finally being honest with her and all of her secrets had come to light.
right?
she was planning on calling y/n later that day and talking to her about everything. she wanted to have a proper adult conversation with her girlfriend and figure things out because she certainly didn't want to lose her over something so stupid.
billie let out a soft sigh as she opened the door, eyebrows furrowed when she saw a man holding a bag of food.
"here you go." he said as he gave the bag to billie.
"uh-" billie began, confused.
"it's already been paid for." the delivery man spoke with a nod before walking away.
"huh?" billie said to herself as she closed the door, beyond confused as to what was going on. did y/n have food sent here? had she accidentally typed their home's address instead of where she was staying?
billie placed the food on the counter before making her way to the living room, grabbing her phone from the couch as she went through her contacts.
her hand hovered over the unblock button on y/n's contact before she reluctantly pressed it, taking in a deep breath as she called her.
"billie." y/n said as soon as she picked up, billie sitting down on the couch as she sighed.
"hey uhm- did you order food for yourself?" billie asked softly. she'd not anticipated talking to y/n anytime soon.
"oh, no that's for you." y/n spoke to which billie furrowed her eyebrows.
"what?"
the doorbell ringing again made billie stand up as she walked towards the door. "hold on." she said to y/n before opening the door.
this time there stood a girl holding flowers. "delivery for billie." she said with a smile before handing billie the boquet, billie growing even more confused.
closing the door, billie looked at the flowers before going back to talking to y/n. "did you do this?"
"yeah." y/n said with a soft chuckle and billie couldn't help but smile. she was still pretty pissed but y/n ordering food and flowers for her made her heart melt.
"they're really pretty." billie spoke, referring to the flowers. "what's all this for though?" she questioned as she went over to the counter and placed the flowers down.
"i never got to take you out on a birthday date so i thought we could have a facetime date."
billie sat down on one of the chairs in front of the counter. "wait what?"
"mhm! hold on, lemme facetime you."
"no wait!" billie said quickly before y/n could hang up. "i'm not exactly in date attire.."
y/n laughed softly at this. "it's okay. i'm sure you look gorgeous." she spoke and before billie could even reply, y/n hung up and began facetiming her this time.
billie looked at herself in the camera as she fixed her hair, letting out a nervous breath before accepting.
she couldn't believe she was doing this. a facetime date with her girlfriend who she was still pretty mad at.
