y/n jumped at the sound of the hotel room door slamming shut, looking up from her phone to see billie walking inside.

it had been about an hour and a half since she'd left billie and lanie to get to know each other at the cafe and y/n was expecting both of them to have finally got past their differences. frankly, she was growing tired of having to put up with billie's jealousy everytime lanie's name was brought up.

"hi baby." y/n smiled as she stood up from her spot on the bed and walked up to billie. "how was it?"

billie looked up at her and shot her a glare, shaking her head. "i can't believe you just left!" were the first words that left her mouth and y/n furrowed her brows. she hadn't expected billie to be mad. "the only reason i'd even agreed to that shitshow was because i thought you were going to be there with me!"

"billie." y/n frowned at her outburst. "i just wanted you two to bond."

"you left me there with no warning, y/n! why the fuck would you do that? you know i'm uncomfortable around her." billie said as she let out a frustrated groan, tugging at her hair.

y/n sighed softly before taking a step forward and wrapping her arms around her girlfriend, billie melting at her touch immediately. "i'm sorry." y/n whispered, kissing the top of her head as the singer buried her face in her chest. "i just wanted you to stop hating her."

billie let out a shaky sigh as she shook her head. "it was horrible." she mumbled into her chest as y/n gently stroked her hair.

"what happened?"

"we started talking about you." billie began, holding onto her girlfriend tightly as y/n held her close. "she kept referring to you as her 'person' and her 'soulmate' and went on and on about how much she loves spending time with you and how you're the best thing that's happened to her."

y/n frowned at this, shaking her head. "baby i'm sure she meant it platonically."

billie pulled away as she stared at y/n. "trust me, nothing about that was platonic. it was clear as day that she has a big crush on you."

"she does not."

"she does! she called you her fucking soulmate like i don't even exist!" billie threw her hands up in the air but y/n didn't want to hear it.

"billie, i'm telling you it was platonic."

"and i'm telling you that it wasn't! you should've seen her face when she talked about you, y/n. even after i put her in her place and made it clear that you're mine, she wouldn't stop talking about how you two are 'meant to be' or whatever." billie replied, a huge frown on her lips.

"billie." y/n called out as she tried to calm her girlfriend down.

"no, y/n. it seemed very clear to me that she's willing to do anything to break us up." billie spoke as she stared at the floor.

"don't you think you're being just a tad bit dramat-"

"don't fucking finish that sentence." billie said sternly as she backed away from y/n, running her fingers through her hair. "i mean it when i say she has a thing for you."

"and i mean it when i say she doesn't! she's just a friend, billie. she does not like me." y/n said as she took a step closer but billie only backed away.

"i was there, y/n. i know she likes you. and i hate it. i mean, the audacity to talk about you like that to your girlfriend?"

"come on, billie. this is stupid. i'm a hundred percent sure she just likes me platonically." y/n brushed off billie's suspicions once again and billie was so tired of y/n never believing her.
