"hi baby." y/n's voice came through the facetime as billie plopped herself down on the bed. "just reached the hotel."

"hi." billie smiled at her. "that's good. you tired?"

"very." y/n yawned. "but we have to leave for a table read soon so i should probably go shower in a bit."

billie nodded before sighing. "i miss you."

"already? i've been gone for like five minutes." y/n joked with a playful eyeroll which made billie giggle. "but i miss you too angel."

billie was about to say something but shark interrupted by barking as per usual. the dog jumped onto the bed and sat on billie's lap, giving y/n a clear view of him.

"aww shark i miss him." she pouted which made billie laugh softly as she shook her head.

"he misses you too."

they sat in silence for a bit, just enjoying each other's presence until y/n spoke up.

"did you see everyone's reaction to the pictures of us kissing?" she asked, a smirk on her lips as she leaned towards her phone.

a blush took over billie's face as she nodded slowly. everyone was super supportive which she certainly had not expected. yeah, there was some hate here and there but the support definitely overpowered it. it was honestly overwhelming.

"i did, yeah. everyone's being so nice." billie responded and y/n smiled.

"oh and your birthday is soon!" y/n exclaimed and billie looked down with a smile as she bit her bottom lip.

"will you be here?" she asked softly before looking at y/n.

"of course i will!" y/n grinned which made billie giggle.

"okay well uh, i should probably get ready for the table read now. call you later tonight?" the actress spoke and billie frowned slightly.

"sure yeah. have fun, i love you."

"i love you too." and with that, y/n hung up.

billie couldn't help the sigh that escaped her lips as she lay down on her bed, shark laying down next to her as she pet him. "is it weird that i miss her already?" she questioned but shark could only look at her.

she giggled softly before kissing the top of his head. "you're so cute baby." she whispered to him as she pulled him on top of her. "i love youu."

shark licked all over her face which made her burst out laughing as she tried to stop him, finally succeeding as she put him down on the bed and wiped the slobber off her face.

her phone began ringing and a smile took over her face when she saw the caller id.

"hey fin!" she grinned as she pressed the phone to her ear. they'd not hung out in a while since she wanted to spend time with y/n before she left.

"you guys went public?!" were the first words from him which made billie laugh softly.

"yeah." billie giggled.

"holy shit! how do you feel?" he asked and billie couldn't help but smile as she thought about it.

"great, really great. i really love her, fin. and i'm glad we're done pretending otherwise."

"aww i'm so happy for you, you know that?" he asked and billie's smile only grew bigger.

"yeah, i know. i love you." she spoke, her happiness evident in her voice.

"i love you too." finneas replied and she could tell he was smiling. "so, you dropped y/n off earlier?"

billie's smile was immediately replaced with a frown as she nodded, though finneas couldn't see her. "yup."
