Chapter 14 My New Life (R)

Griffin POV

I watch as Ethan leaves the room.  I don't like the feeling I get as the doors closes behind him.  I move nearer to Ryker and he puts his hand on my back, which helps makes me feel better.  Sky their sister, seems to be a very bright kind of person.  Her laughter fills the room. Though I'm not sure why she is laughing.

"Fin, its girls that wear dresses.  We as male's wear shorts and pants" Ryker explains to me. "Why? I like what she is wearing? The air can move around under it.  I'll like that" I tell Ryker.  He looks at his sister and I feel something close to confusion coming from him.

"Have you not tried to wear dresses?" I ask him "no, as I said men wear shorts or pants" he answers. "Then you shouldn't,.. Knock it. Until you've tried" I say feeling proud that I managed to find the correct words, I was looking for.

Sky claps her hands "you are right Griffin.  Who made up the silly rule that we all have to fit into box's anyway" she says. "I didn't like the box, I was kept in" I say putting my arm around Ryker and then just sitting in his lap as the memories flood back of the years, I spent in a cage.

"I'm sorry, Griffin I didn't mean to bring back painful memories.  I meant that humans have always enjoyed. Setting rules and standards by their own ideals and not everyone fit into those ideals. If we weren't forced into groups or categories. I believe we would all be a lot happier" Sky apologises to me looking upset that she reminded me of what has happened.

I look at Ryker then Sky "I'm alright, I need to stop, letting these memories affect me now" I say and feel Ryker's pride in me and his love through our bond.  I turn and kiss him, but he pulls back when I try and put my tongue into his mouth.

"Sky is here. Stand-up let her measure you" he reminds me.  I turn a little annoyed, towards Sky "you wouldn't like to see me kissing your brother?" I question.  "I'm happy for my brothers, that they have you. But certain things should be kept between you three" she answers.

"But you've all see each other naked? You use to bathe with them?" I question her. "We did, when we were younger. But as we get older and our bodies change. "Griffin, when you are given permission to read someone's mind.  You shouldn't then blab to everyone about, what you read.  somethings are in deed private" Sky says looking a little hurt.  "I am sorry.  I will not say anything else about what I learnt.  Everything is so new to me.  I am sorry" I apologise.  "Alright, all is forgiven.  Just think a little before you speak" she says
