Chapter 40 A Brother For Kieryn

Ryker POV

I rub, Kieryn's back trying to reassure him he's okay.   I look towards pop, but he's already asleep. He and Conall having done so much already.  Once the plane levels out and the seatbelt sign goes off.  I go into the kitchen and find some instant noodles and eggs.  I make up four and also some Jam toast for Kieryn.  Once I've given them to everyone.  I also give them bottles of water.

I share some of my noodles with Kieryn and watch as he licks all the fruit jam off his toast before eating the bread. He then turns and snuggles into my chest.  I show the others how they can put their seats down and where the bathroom is.

All males, I suddenly realise. Is that because they think men are stronger? I wonder to myself watching as the others tip the seats back and settle with blankets over them to sleep.  "I miss you E, Fin" I link knowing we are to far away, but wanting to feel close to them. "Miss you too Ry, everything alright" I hear E answer.

I blink my eyes hearing him in my head. "Is that really you or are you in my imagination?" I ask 

"Oh crap! You aren't even in the country, are you?  How are we able to hear each other?" E asks "never mind, is everything alright?  You're not hurt?" he continues. "We got another three all male.  Look to be from young teens to early adult" I answer.  "You are good though?  Kieryn?" E, insists.  "We are both good.  Kieryn helped" I tell him. "Where are you?"

"In the jet making our way back to you" I answer. "E, I'm tired, sorry." I hear him chuckle "sleep Ry, see you tomorrow" I hear him say just as sleep takes me under.  I wake to the smell of cooked food.  Pop is reheating ready meals and sharing them out with the others. "You've slept deeply.  Kieryn has been grooming you" pop says nodding to my head.

I feel my hair, which is sticking up in odd places. "Is this, spit?" I ask pops "I didn't want to stop him, as it seemed to be helping calm him down. He didn't like the fact, we are still in the jet.  I look at Kieryn who is now snuggled into my side hugging a blanket.

"How long do we still have?" I ask pop. "About 3 hours, but the pilot tells me that we could be hitting some tail wind soon. That would make it quicker. Here, have, some food" pop says passing me some food.

He then gives it out to the others who all seem to be very hungry.  Pop gives Kieryn chicken burger cut up in small pieces.  I remember just before I passed out, I was linking with Ethan. "E?" I try "Did you manage to sleep?" he asks me. "How are we still able to link each other? We are still 3 hours away and before I feel asleep it was much more?" I question. "Have no idea, but I like the fact we can still talk to one another" he answers.

"Pop, can you still talk to Dad?" I ask. "If I use the jet phone yes" he answers. 

"Fin, can you hear me?" I ask. "You now remember me! Really? Do you even know, how worried I've been?" he answers, to which I'm left a little speechless. "Sorry Ry, I introduced him to dramas. Then he found Kdrama's, apparently, they take the word drama very seriously and over do everything" E explains

"Sorry Fin, I have been a very busy. Then I passed out tired.  We have three other friends for you to meet though" I say hoping to mollify him.  "These three others won't be wanting to share our bed too with they?" he asks, still sounding a little put out.  "No, we will set them up with a place of their own" I assure him.

"We have reports that other packs are sending us the ones they have rescued too. The news is full of the unexplained explosions going off all around the world and killing some  top government officials.  As well as unexpected attacks on some thought to be disused military bases. The news reporters are asking why the public were told they were unused bases.  When its now apparent they are being used" E informs me.
