Chapter 57 Last Lesson Pt 2

Griffin POV

"What is it?" they ask together. "There are lots of men coming this way.  We need pops and we need to take care of them now!" I shout.  Brent knocks on the door and it falls open as neither of them shut it properly.  "I can sense something big is coming" he says.

"Right, we have no time to explain.  I'm entrusting you with our children.  My sister will come around soon to take over, but until then please don't let anything happen to them" Ry says taking a hold of Brents arms.  Brent nods his head "I've decided that this is home. I will die protecting them and the pack" Brent answers.  Ry nods his head "everyone is out back, Kieryn felt them too.  Kia will help him recover" I say before heading out the front door with my mates.

Ryker POV

"Pack gather and hide in the underground rooms. Warriors take your defensive positions keep everyone in the loop" I link as we run through the woods to towards the clearing.

"Pop, we need you at the clearing.  Dad, go on alert" E links at the same time.  "What is happening?" Dad asks "Many men coming this way, it did not feel friendly" Fin tells him. "Fuckers! Right be careful" dad swears.  Fin and E start to strip as we get near the clearing. I pick up their clothes and then jump onto Soren's back as E, shifts.  Conall breaks through the trees "Legend jump onto my back.  We are going to show these fuckers just what they are messing with" Conall orders.

But instead of flying up into the sky. Soren and Conall fly low through the trees.  "They'll be expecting us to come from the sky" Conall says.  "I hear them" Soren says.  "I'm going to fly around.  Legend and I will take care of the men at the back.  Soren, Dante you take care of the ones at the front.  Fire, fire balls to those in the middle" Conall instructs.  Then flies off to reach those at the back.  "Hey Soren, see that rocky hill?" I link.

Soren flies towards the rocky hill.  Once he is above it, he lands heavily causing many of the loose smaller rocks to start tumbling down the steep hill.  The men driving and marching along the road.  Try and run from the falling rocks.  Soren flies up and lands heavily down again.  We hear an enormous cracking sound and half the hill facing the road splits off, sending much bigger rocks tumbling down as well as a large amount of soil and trees, to the road and surrounding area.

The rock slide managers to take out a number, of the front-line people. "Now" Conall instructs. Soren sweeps down I jump off his back and onto the back of a truck mounted with a machine gun.  I kick one man from the back of the truck and punch the other, before snapping his neck.  I then point the machine gun towards the people now crying and firing guns towards Soren.  I unclip the safety and pull the trigger.  I use my gun training and excellent vision, to make every bullet count.

There are some of the people now running around on fire but as they are all carrying weapons and ammunition it doesn't take long, for them to explode taking out those closest to them as well.  I see Conall raining down fire on the ones at the back.  Legend is grabbing men and snaping them nearly in half with his large talons.  I feel Soren's magic cloaking me as bullets start whizzing past me.  "Your 6 O'clock and 3 O'clock Ry" I hear E tell me.

I move the gun around to my 6 and see the fuckers laying on the floor firing at me.  I take them out and move to my 3 and spot those suckers too.   It only takes two bullets and they are dead too.  They came with plenty of ammo, so I keep firing until there are no bullets left.  I then jump down from the truck and sprint to the next truck with a machine gun mounted on it.

I jump and stick out my booted foot, taking the guys head clean off.  I then start firing on the reminding men still standing.  Soren rains down fire onto a vehicle that looks like a hummer. With his magic fire, they don't stand a chance.  I duck as the vehicle explodes.  "Their extra ammo and some land mines if I'm not mistaken" Soren declares.  The few men left drop their weapons and hold up their hands.  Legend flies down and lands in front of one.  He cowers but Legend uses his talons to hold the man down and stares into his eyes. The man screams before blood bubbles out of his mouth and he dies.
