Chapter 52 Fatherhood

Ethan POV

Pop and Dad kiss us and then take the boys out.  Grandma Lucy and Sky hug us "thank you, for being okay.  I'm not sure, I'm okay with you making me a great grandmother so soon.  But it is what it is" grandma Lucy tells us.   "Love you, Grandma Lucy" we say together.  She smiles loving it when we do that.  They leave and I look to Ry.  He leans over and kisses me. Then we lay back down and hug our mate.

We can hear and feel his strong heart beat.  Which is reassuring to us.  We sleep hoping he will wake soon. 

I dream of our three boys playing in a garden.  Kieryn and Kai are there watching over them too. "Jasper, don't do that to Jordan.  You know Joel will be upset too" Kieryn says as Jasper goes to hit Jordon with the small play spade he has a hold of.

Then I turn as I hear laughter "I told you Dad Ry.  I could beat them" I blink seeing the boy's lavender eyes, he looks to be about 6 or 7.  "But you have talons it's a little unfair" another boy says.  He steps out into the garden and his twin follows him.  "I did say we shouldn't use our animals" he says.

"Dad E, can we have pasta tonight for dinner?" he asks me.  I feel so much love for everyone, that it wakes me up.  I rub my eyes and then lean up and look at Ry.  "Did you dream?" I ask him.

We are going to have a large family" he answers.  He kisses Fin's cheek and then leans up and kisses me too. 

"I really want to eat some good juice steaks.  What about you E?" he says. It's only when he glances at Fin.  I realise what he is doing.  "I don't know, Chinese sounds good.   I just love all those flavours bursting in your mouth" I answer.

"Shame Fin is out of it.  Guess that means more for you and me" Ry adds.  We see Fin's fingers move.  "I really wanted him to try Indian food.  For flavours, can anyone beat them?" I ask. "Has he not tried that yet?" Ry responds.   I put my hand on Fin's chest and Ry copies me.

We both start to imagine eating lovely food.  Fin's foot twitches and then his arm.  His heart rate goes up and then his eyes fly open.  He looks at us and blinks "I had such a long lovely dream" he tells us.  We help him sit up and give him some water to sip.

"I feel as though my insides have been kicked and bruised" he says rubbing his hand over his stomach.

I look at Ry wondering if we should tell him about the kids yet.  "What's that?" Fin asks and we see a crib with our sons in it. "A lot has happened in the four months we've been out. The biggest news is, that yes you were pregnant.  Say hi, to our sons" Ry tells him.

"I missed the whole I'm fat and can't see my dick part? Oh, thank goodness.  Are they healthy?" he says.  Ry and I blink at his reaction but smile, happy he's not upset.

"They are fine, more than fine actually.  They are perfect" I assure him.  "We need to think of names" Ry sighs. "I dreamt of them, Leo, Levi and Lewis. Lewis had the most amazing purple eyes" Fin says.  "Leo, Levi and Lewis.  Then Jasper, Jordan and Joel.  With Kieryn and Kai.  I like that L and J either side of K" I nod agreeing.  "You think I'd go through that again?" Fin asks. "You didn't know anything about it" Ry argues.

"True, but I'm really happy about not going through the whole fat thing" Fin answers screwing up his nose.  "I'm hungry, when can we have those steaks?" he asks.  I look at Ry, wide eyed "you explain to him that we won't be able to have solid food for at least 48 hours" I link Ry. "He could fry my brain! Haley, Fin is awake" I hear Ry link.  I roll my eyes but say nothing.

Haley walks in and smiles at us, "Griffin glad to see you're awake.  Feel alright? No dizziness? Headaches?" she asks "no, just really hungry" Fin answers. "I'll get the kitchen staff to make some porridge.  Only light foods for the next 24 hours at least.  Then it should be safe for you to eat solid food" Haley replies.

Fin looks at her and then us, "I heard steak being mentioned?" he questions.  Haley smiles "once your stomach, is adjusted to you eating again.  It will be fine, if you eat it now, you'll throw it all back up.  Then you'll have to stay here longer" Haley tells him.

Fin narrows his eyes, but then seems to make a decision.  "Porridge is fine.  Are my babies healthy?" He asks. "Very healthy and beautiful. They'll be waking soon.  So, I'll have someone bring in their bottles, enjoy" she says leaving us alone again.  Ryker reaches out his arm and brings the crib closer.  He then gives me one, Fin another one and then he takes the last one.

"Fin, you have Jasper, E, you have Joel and I have Jordon" Ryker tells us.  Fin strokes Jasper's cheek and he opens up his beautiful lavender eyes.  Fin smiles "hello my son, I'm daddy Fin. Nice to meet you" he says.  Someone brings in the bottles and gives them to us.  Just as Joel and Jordon also open the eyes.

"You did so good Fin, thank you, for give us such wonderful children" I say meaning every word. We put the bottles to their lips and we are all a little shocked, how strongly they suck and drink the formula.  "Aren't these bottle a little big?" I question as I watch the milk inside disappearing quickly.

"Haley is the one who sent them in" Ry reasons.  They finish the bottles together and we place them over our shoulders and pat their backs.  We hear and feel three big burps.  "Good boy" Fin says checking his shoulder for spit.  We do the same and see them scrunching up their faces and going red.  Just as I'm about to start worrying.  We hear all three pooh.  Then the smell hits our noses.

Fin passes Jasper to Ry, "I've just woken-up, you can change him, quickly please" he says, holding his nose.  So, I get out of bed with Ry and go into the bathroom where a changing table has been put with all the things needed to change their diapers.

"How come there is so much?" I complain as I take the dirty diaper off of Joel.  I clean him and then put on a clean diaper.  Ry is just finishing with Jordon, when Jasper starts to fuss. "Okay buddy, I'm coming" Ry says. He changes Jasper's diaper quickly and we pick them up and carry them back out to the bed.

Ry goes to give a baby back to Fin but he shakes his head. "The food will be here soon.  I need to eat" he states.  Ry puts both babies in the crook of his bent legs after he gets on the bed. Porridge arrives and Fin tucks into his.  I put Joel in the crook of my bent leg too and eat the porridge. When we are all finished. Fin asks if we can go home.

Haley comes in and tells us we are allowed to go home but to come back if anything feels strange. That is when Sky comes back. "I'll drive you over to your place. Grandma Lucy and I have finished your place and hope your are going to like it" she tells us.

I'm now excited to see our home.
