Chapter 26 Starting

Ryker POV

Kieryn puts his little hand on my neck and then moves and climbs onto Ethan's back.  He wraps his small arms and legs around him.  Ethan smiles and stands up with him clinging to his back. "We can strap him to your back. That way you'll have the use of all your limbs" pop says. This helps me to relax and not worry so much.

"You seem really attached to him Ryker?" dad questions.  "He has come to mean a lot to me already" I admit as Ethan sits down again and Kieryn gets off his back, taps Ethan's neck before climbing back into my lap and stroking my chest as though to sooth me.

I smile down at him, and stroke his head.  He leans into my chest and closes his eyes.  "I can also look after myself" Fin says leaning into Ethan.  "We know you can, but as mates we worry about each other.  Just like we worry about family and pack.  We can't stop that.  You will also worry about Ryker, as he leaves us to go into a room with over 200 alphas present" Ethan explains.

Fin looks over at me and smiles "Ryker, can handle himself very well and he knows he has us" he says a little smugly.  But I feel my grin grow athis confidence in us. "It will dad andpop that the alphas are all sizing up.  It will be the first time many are meeting them. They all know that dad has been alpha of the biggest pack for years.  Which many would be envious of, but he has also found his true mate.  Who happens to be the CEO of The Hub.  One of the largest conglomerates of the world.  One things alpha's all have in common, they all want to be top dog" I say and then apologise for the dog part.

"The Hub, employees over 1500 people in just its mains office building.  Which now expands a whole city block.  No-one knows for sure how many employees there are.  When including its countless sister and brother branch companies.  But the first mall that was bought and is the foundation stone of The Hub today, has more than 2500 employees and has grown to over three times its original size" Fin spouts.

"I let him have my tablet yesterday" E chuckles.  "Clear Moon Logging" "we know Fin, we are a part of it" I interrupt him.  "I'm sorry I destroyed one of your trees.  At the time I didn't realise it was someone's lively hood, bread and butter, paycheque, I was chopping up" Fin apologises to dad.  "He also found the urban dictionary" I say.

"Don't worry, I had some people take the wood and bundle it for winter.  It can be used as kindling" dad assures him.  "To get back on track. Grey, Ryker and I will be going and greeting our guests tonight.  We will link you if we want you to investigate anyone further.  Ethan and Kieryn will stay up here.  Ethan you can use the balcony if you need to escape quickly.  We will then meet up tomorrow morning and come up with a plan so, everyone can feel as safe as possible.  When Griffin will meet everyone." We all nod towards dad as he finishes.

Kieryn is now asleep in my lap.  Fin sniffs the air "food is here" he says looking towards the door of the suite.  Pop gets up and goes to the door.  Fin cloaks himself, Fin and Kieryn.  I pick up a cushion and hold it near my lap as it looks like I have a void there.

"Thank you" pop says before wheeling in the cart and closing the door.  Ethan stops cloaking them and Fin gets up and goes to the table.  We all eat at the table.  I manage to eat just using my fork, as I'm still holding Kieryn.  We talk about other things and Fin also demonstrates just how much he learnt from the web.  As he tells us the history of how Los Vegas became the gambling capital of America.

"I need to make some calls, so excuse me. I'll see you all later" pop says having finished his breakfast and coffee. "Yes, me too. Boys we'll see you later" dad also says standing. "Tuddles, see ya later, later dudes" Fin says.  E and I look at our parents apologetically.   We get smiles in return.  They go back into their side of the suite.  "Fin, I can show you how to play games on the tablet.  Ry and I are going to make a guide book to all the things we found yesterday.  Then it can be given to everyone. They can then decide what they wish to do.  It should really help our parents and keep the alphas busy" E says as he clears the table.
