Chapter 44

Ryker POV

"How many did dad say are arriving tomorrow?" E asks as he joins me outside. "So, far 25 with another 17 arriving the next day" I answer.  "It was strange listening to all the different languages spoken today" E comments.  "Try hearing what I'm saying translated into all different languages as if I was goggle translate or something" I joke.

"The goddess really is something.  She has given us all what we need, to cope with everything" E says.  I nod and we go back and up to the room we are sharing at the momentwith Kieryn and Kai.  We settle down and sleep.

I'm woken with Kieryn and Kai, trying to force my eyelids open.  I take them to the bathroom, check in on Fin with the new born.  But he isn't there its Akio watching over them.  He tells me Fin is downstairs waiting for breakfast.

I take my two down with me and find E in the kitchen being helped by one of the older ones and others all sitting or standing around the table waiting for the food.   "Sky is on her way with breakfast burgers and cereal" E tells me.

I nod put Kieryn and Kai down on the table in front of Fin.  I get glasses of water and juice sorted. Then place that on the kitchen counter for the others to help themselves.  Then start making rounds of toast.

When Sky arrives, she gives out the breakfast burgers and then Alpha Daniels arrives with cooked patty meat, hashbrowns and beans.  He helps serve them out while Fin finishes off the eggy bread and sausages.  "It is going to need an industrial kitchen like the pack house.  The stove is going to be needing to be on 24/7" E says as he rubs his neck.  I give him a massage and get news that the new arrivals are arriving.

Pop comes to visit and tells me, Micky has found where Carlo Manner is hiding out.  She was able to find him easier because of the number Fin remembered.  He and dad are going to sort him out.  He also there to introduce us to the first team of builders.

They are all pack members and will be starting on the temporary accommodation.  One of the barns is going to be converted, as its in good shape.  It will be made into individual bedrooms with shared bathrooms and common areas.

Micky is going through all the hard drives I took from the warehouse.  So far, its all been data about the growth and failures they made.  Dad links me to say they are leaving to take care of Carlos.  That they may be away for a couple of days.

Alpha Daniels brings some of his pack to help with the building work.  Which actually helps move the work along much quicker.  I get in contact with the other building team and send our plans over for our house and Micky's.  I'm still working on the packhouse design.  As that will be individual apartments.  I'm considering how best to make the outside of the building appealing and not just like a block of apartments.  I'm toying with the idea of making the centre bit a safe garden for the children to play in and then have metal walk ways over head.  So, there will be more than one way to get in and out of the building.  I've also learnt that it will be easy to add safe rooms under the property as they are going to need to dig down to the firm rock base anyway.

E has decided to ask, some of the pack kitchen staff to come and teach basic cooking skills to the new members.  Even Fin has taken an interest in the land I marked that would be perfect for a veg garden.

Three Days Later

"Dad how are you doing?" I ask through the link. "Good, but we are now hunting down the council member that has been working with Carlos.  Might be another few of days." "Has Carlos been taken care of?" I ask "Oh yes, Conall dug down to his panic room. Which was really just a metal box with a vent coming from it. We torched his island and took him along with the rest of his family inside the panic room out into the sea. Conall can swim, something I never knew. He dropped the panic room down into the Marianas Trench." I hear him say.
