Chapter 58 Time Flies (R)

Ryker POV

"Sorry Brent, but he is my brother" Sky says sighing and then letting herself out the back door.  I lock the door and then lock the front door.  I then assure the pack that all is safe. "Most our asleep Boss Ryker, I'll let them know in the morning" one of the guards link me.

I go up and check on all the kids. Kieryn opens his eyes and looks at me.  I kiss his head "all taken care of buddy, thank you" I thank him.  He smiles and blows me a kiss.  Then turns and hugs Kai tightly before falling asleep again.  I look at them and shake my head. "If they weren't brother's and so young, I'd think they were soulmates" I mutter before leaving the room.

I go back into our room and E has already gotten into bed beside Fin. "Night Ry" he says.  I lean over and kiss him "night, love you" I say "hmm, love you too" he says back.  I kiss Fin and then lay down and close my eyes.

Ethan POV

4 years later

"I swear Brent junior if you dare climb up the cupboards again.  You are going into the play pen your father made for you!" I cry as I take him down from the cupboards again.   He giggles and I roll my eyes.  "Talk about the terrible twos. Ours weren't this bad, were they?" I ask Ry.

"I don't think so, its probably got something to do with the fact he has both a wolf and a bear as a mother and father" Ry moans just as exhausted as me.  Fin and Sky walk back into the house. "I really love coming back and going shopping with you. You are the best" Sky says.

Sky and Brent, are the official liaison ambassadors for the shifter community with the human world.  Brent and Sky are perfect for the role.  Brent looks intimidating, as he's so muscular and Sky has always been able to handle herself well in any situation.

Since the world got Fin's message and warning's, they have never tried to attack us again.  There was one little event, about 18 months ago.  But the magical warning that Fin and Conall had put in place worked.  Showing that nuclear missiles, were armed and ready to be launched at the country, who had dared think of attacking our kind again.  They backed off apologised saying it was unintentional.  Their lie had been met with the sudden death of the one who had dared step near the hidden nuclear missile base.  It was shown he had a massive brain haemorrhage.

Brent had told them clearly it was their last warning.  The other countries had threatened action if the other country didn't stop.  That was the end of it.

Now Sky and Brent have come back for a visit with their two-year-old.  Brent has gone to talk with our parents and Sky had gone shopping with Fin.

"Good you're back, here" Ry says thrusting her son back into her arms.  "I've got pack business to do" Ry says. "I need to check on the kids and check on the pack" I say.  We kiss Fin and hug Sky before leaving.

Ry sighs and puts his arm around my shoulder's.  "Brent Junior is a handful.   Thankfully our kids are well behaved" he says.  This makes me laugh "did you say that when the triplets threw our phones down the toilet?" I ask him.  "It made us realise we were bringing to much work home" he reasons.  "What about the time, they put laundry detergent into the pool?" I ask next.  "That was a pain.  But at least they didn't climb up cabinets" he says.  I nod "probably because we've made their bedroom and the one next to it into their own climbing gym."  Ry looks at me and then kisses the end of my nose. "Love you, see you later" he says jogging off towards the new medical centre, we are building.

A number of the pack have found mates and that means pregnancy and babies.  So as not to over burden Haley and her staff.  We are building our own.  A number of our pack are taking medical degrees and will work in the centre once its finished.
