Chapter 32 Charged

Griffin POV

I look down at the sneakers Ethan places in front of me.  I sigh before putting them on.  I look in the mirror and sigh again. "I don't look pretty, wearing these joggers, my dresses are much prettier" I state pouting.

"Actually, I like your ass, I mean bottom in those.  You have the perfect bubble butt.  Which we only get glimpses of when you move in your dresses" Ryker says.  I turn, so I can see my butt. "Oh! It does look good" I say slapping my ass.

I feel Ryker and Ethan's pleasure at my action.  Interesting, I'll file that away for later, I think.  We hear their parents enter the sitting room and all go out to meet them.  Ryker gives Kieryn, to me and goes to stand with his parents.  I imagine the stage and then dad says what he needs to.  I nod and we all hug before leaving the suite.

Ethan has cloaked us and again we enter the elevator first.  Ryker stands in front of us as his parents stand to the side of us.  I feel dad linking the warriors.  Then also feel the change in their behaviour as they all listen to his orders.

I take a deep breath in and then let it out slowly.  Ethan takes my hand and gives it a squeeze. "This kid is heavier, than before. My arms are already beginning to shake" I link him.  He takes Kieryn from me and shushes me, by shaking his head.  "If I need to, I'll pass him back to you" he links.

Kieryn has his arm around Ethan's neck, but watching Ryker's back.  "It's okay" Ryker whisper's obviously feeling Kieryn's gaze.  "Game faces" dad says as the elevator doors open.  We walk to the meeting room and one of the warriors open the doors to allow us to walk through.

We feel the charged atmosphere, as soon as we enter.  Dad walks up on stage with his hand held up.  This stops everyone from asking questions.  Ethan and I stand just behind them.  I stand right behind Ryker.

"My dear friends" dad starts "Ryker places his hands behind his back and I touch the palm of his right hand.  "My mate and I discovered that someone had sent military forces to capture us. Thankfully we were tipped off and were able to stop them from reaching us here at the hotel.  I'm sure most of you heard the explosions, even though they were miles from the city" dad continues.

He pauses for a minute to let that sink in.  I feel Ryker searching and concentrate with him.  "Now my first thought, after they were stopped.  Was how did they know we were here?" dad asks. He looks around the room allowing his annoyance and anger to show.

"I have spoke to no-one outside my own pack on this matter.  I had assumed that all of you would also be smart enough, to not speak about it!" he adds before pausing again.  "Then I thought about why someone in this room would talk to either the council or government about what we are doing here" dad chuckles darkly, before continuing.

I sense Ryker zeroing in on a group of people. "Then I realised it all comes down to power.  Those that have it and those that feel they don't."  As he finishes that sentence, I get images of Alpha Mackenzie and his son talking to some men in suits.

"We would appreciate your help.  Of course, we will make it worth your while."  "Now, Fin" Ryker links.  I think of the scene from earlier and push it towards them through Ryker's connection.  I don't concentrate on what dad is really saying as I don't want them, to hear it through me.

"Okay" Ryker says.  He scans the room again "Fin let's give Beth something else to fixate over" he links, I concentrate again and feel her desire for Ryker.  I think of Alpha Mackenzie's son, and suggest to her that he is her mate.

"I hope I can relay on all of you from now on.  This is so important and could be the end of our kind, if we let this continue" dad says.  Alpha Mackenzie stands up and claps "well said, I'm sure we'll all be there for you" he says.  The rest of the room look a little surprised by his actions but clap and nod along.
