¤ 3rd Point Of View ¤

"Is that a small cigar that you hold?" A voice asked from behind (Y/n). She was currently leaned against the wooden rails on the rooftop of her brother's estate, cigarette in her hand. Her eyes were glossed over, memeories of a certain blue eyed man on her mind. (Y/n) turned to face the voice, coming face to face with Eso, one of the last people she expected to follow her upstairs.

"We call it a cigarette now." (Y/n) told him before looking back towards the cityscape view. He stood a few steps behind her, not sure whether to be looking at the cityscape as he spoke to her (as she was doing now), or to face her back as he spoke.
"I've never quite understood their purpose." Eso admitted curiously, watching as she inhaled another puff of the smoke. Esos seen people smoke before, but none of them were quite like (Y/n). When he thought of a person holding a cigar, she was the last person he'd imagine.

"To calm me." (Y/n) replied with a sigh. She wondered why Eso was here. A mere coincidence when finding the rooftop or did he understand something was wrong? Surely not.
"Mahito, he said something about a man with blue eyes earlier...Did that upset you?" The curse then asked carefully, making (Y/n)'s eyes go slightly wide. So he did notice.

"It's...complicated." She then replied, not knowing what else to say. (Y/n) did not know Eso well enough to parade on about her life story, and he hated that Mahito brought Gojo's name uo in the first place. Now, there will be questions.
"It must be, considering you are not smiling any longer." Eso noticed. Since the three brothers arrived, they saw (Y/n) to be a ray of light- with occasional sparks of flame. It was weird, seeing her so unhappy on a rooftop alone with a small cigar- or cigarette, as people now called it.

"I don't need to smile all the time, do I?" (Y/n) asked him with a soft chuckle. That would definetly be tiring, she thought. Eso pursed his lips.
"No, I suppose not." He replied.
"It's just...it seems out of the ordinary- though, I guess I do not really know what the ordinairy is. I've been here for less than a day, after all." Eso chuckled bitterly, making (Y/n) turn to face him slowly with guilt and pity.

"I'm sorry...it must be hard- being thrown into an era that you're unfamiliar with. In that way, I kind of pity the king of curses too." (Y/n) admitted with a quiet voice, as if she were embarrassed to feel pity for people. (Y/n) noticed the way Eso looked at her after that, a look that she could not describe as he tilted his head and judged her silently with his arms linked behind his back. She felt nervous under his gaze, as if he were searching for answers against her skin.

"My brother was correct. You really are nothing like your brother, Geto Suguru." Eso pondered, making (Y/n) huff with amusement. This again?
"And as I told your brother, even you and your brothers are an exampleof how siblings aren't usually alike." She playfully told him, getting deja vu from her earlier conversation with Choso. The girl couldn't help but wonder what they've been saying about her.

"How so?" Eso asked her curiously, taking a step forward with insterest.
"Well, Choso and Kechizu are in there, playing Shogi. And you are here, seeing if Mahito hurt my feelings." The girl mused, making Eso look to his side with hesitation as if someone were there.
"I...suppose so." Eso replied simply, hesitation clear in his reply. (Y/n) sighed as she took another inhale of her cigarette before dropping ut to the ground and crushing it with her slipper.

"It was nice talking to you, Eso." She then told him, bidding him farewell with a genuine wave as she began to make her way to the staircase.
"I feel the same." Eso replied as he watched her descend, waiting untill she was completely gone before finally turning his attention to the shadows behind the door.

"Did her answer satisfy you, brother?" Eso then asked aloud, watching as Choso emerged from where the darkness had kept him hidden as he overheard the girl's conversation. The man looked confused- bothered, really. He stared down at the floor with furrowed brows as if he were trying to solve a puzzle that only he could see.
"Her answer was not an answer at all." Choso then complained, before looking up at Eso as if he had any imput.

"I recall she saying that it was complicated, so I believe that to be a yes. Mahito's words must have put her in distress." Eso guessed, making Choso fall back into deep thought.
"You think so?" Choso grumbled lowly, his words barely registered by his brother. It was weird for Eso to see his brother so invested in something- or someone, should he say.

"May I return inside or is there more you'd like me to ask her?" Eso then questioned his brother politely, making Choso shake his head lightly.
"You may go inside, brother. Thank you." Choso thanked, his words void with emotion. His brother could not telk what he was thinking, whether he was worried or simply curious. But he did not pry, instead he bowed respectively.

"Anytime, brother." Eso nodded before descending down the stairs, leaving Choso there alone with his thought. He grumbled to himself as he moved over to the railing, standing right above (Y/n)'s half smoked cigarette bud. He did not know she was the type to smoke. Suprising. Choso wondered if her brother knew.

He also wondered why she seemed so out of place here under Geto Suguru's care...
