3rd Point Of View

"How long did Geto leave you on your own until he made contact with you again?" Choso asked the girl beside him.
"Almost a year. He finally showed himself to me again on my fifteenth birthday." (Y/n) mumbled, chewing her bottom lip as she remembered the day so vividly, "Of course, I had to keeo it a secret from everyone else since Suguru was classified as an enemy and a traitor."

"But...when he left, I didn't know what to do." (Y/n) said softly as she stared at the ceiling, not noticing the way Choso's gaze never left hers. "Everything felt so pointless without him. It took me months to be able to go on a mission again because I'd never been on a mission where Suguru wasn't there with me. And after my last mission, I didn't trust myself out on the field- and that was something I couldn't talk about with anyone."

"And I want to say that it took me a while to be independent again- to function properly without my brother. I guess ai didn't become independent- not really." (Y/n) realised, "I went from relying on Suguru to depending on Satoru...and now you, I guess." To her, that seemed pathetic. What kind of person could only function by relying on others?
"There's nothing wrong with depending on me." Choso objected, finally making (Y/n) turn her attention away from the ceiling to look at him.

"My brother's depend on me just as much as I depend on them." Choso told the girl, making her huff as she shook her head. That wasn't the same- not to her. Siblings could depend on eachother- that was allowed in her eyes.
"You're siblings. I'm sure it's a healthy dependency that you all need after being brought into this new era." (Y/n) replied back, "Unlike mine- I depended on others because I didn't know what I was living for. So I thought, if I relied on someone and they relied on me then that gave me worth- a purpose."

"Even now, I still don't know what I'm living for." (Y/n) admitted, "People usually have dream and goals and things they wanted to work towards. For Satoru, it was to be the strongest. Suguru, to eliminate all the 'monkeys' of the world. But me? Nothing." That's when a question popped into the girl's mind, making her look up at Choso.
"How about you, Choso? What do you live for?" (Y/n) then asked.

Choso went silent for a moment before leaning back, falling beside the girl on the bed so that they were both laying down together, staring up at the ceiling.
"When I was first reincarnated, I made a promise with  my brothers." Choso then began to say, intriguing (Y/n). This was the first she'd ever heard of this.
"A promise?" She echoed softly.
"I made them promise to life for me...and in return I'd also live for them." Choso told the girl.

"Now, I'd like to ask the same of you..." Choso finally said, making (Y/n)'s eyes go wide. He was asking her to live for him? He wanted to be her reason to live.
"W-what?" (Y/n) stuttered, her eyes staring at him widely with a blush spreading across her cheeks, "You want me to...live for you?" Choso nodded, seeming more than calm.
"You need something to live for and I want to be that something." The cursed womb spirit replied, "And in return, I promise to also live for you."

(Y/n) couldn't hold the smile that threatened to slip past her lips.
"Damn, that kind of sounds like a proposal." (Y/n) giggled, turning over so that she was laying in her side, facing Choso. "You take your courting seriously, huh?" (Y/n) couldn't help but giggle harder at Choso's baffled face.
"Alright. I promise to live for you, Kamo Choso." (Y/n) smiled.

"And I, you, Geto (Y/n)." Choso replied, his lips slightly upturned in amusement, making (Y/n)'s smile grow wider. He always did look so pretty when he smiled. (Y/n)'s eyes slowly travelled down to Choso's lips, making her bite the inside of her cheek. She then gulped, his lips somehow looking so soft. Before (Y/n) could stare at his lips any longer, she forced her gaze away, her eyes blinking furiously as she fought off the fantasies.
