3rd Point Of View
(Y/n)'s talk with her brother went a lot better than she expected. He seemed really understanding- about her encounter with Gojo, about the notebook that Choso found. He comforted his sister rather than scolding her for not telling him sooner. Suguru seemed particularly proud about the fact that she'd told Gojo that she was going to let him go- yes, that indeed brought a smile to his face.
After the two finished their talk, they warped back to the estate's kitchen right as the timer went off, watching a frantic Choso attempt to turn it off without knowing how. It wasn't until two minutes later that Choso managed to turned it off by warping it to another city- something (Y/n) will forever remember and tease him for. The rest of the members of the household had also arrived just in time for when (Y/n) pulled the bread out of the oven.
As she let it cool, she cooked them some scrambled eggs before serving them all breakfast. Geto took his plate back to his study, while everyone else sat in the kitchen- other than Jogo who for some reason preferred to eat alone in the gardens today. They all ate heartily, none of them even bothering with conversation because they were so hungry. That made (Y/n) feel slightly guilty, knowing they were all forced to wait for her in order to eat their first meal of the day.
"Say, (Y/n)... I'm meeting up with my new human playmate today. Would you like to come with me and meet him? He shows real promise." Mahito offered. (Y/n) thought on it for a while before nodding, deciding that this was exactly the distraction she needed.
"Yeah, why not? That sounds like fun." She agreed with a small smile. The girl then looked over at Choso, who had silently been sitting at the edge of the table, already finished with his food.
"Are you going to be okay alone?" (Y/n) then asked the half-curse, realising that she's been spending a lot of her time with Choso recently. Choso nodded.
"I was actually hoping to talk to Jogo today. I'll be fine without you." He told her calmly, his eyes flickering towards Jogo who had barely touched his plate since he sat down outside. The curse seemed guilty and Choso had a feeling that he knew why.(Y/n) nodded at Choso's words, not second guessing any part of it.
"Thank you for putting up with me today. I know I was probably not the best company." The girl then mumbled to him, making him look up at her.
"It is not 'putting up with you' if I want to spend that time with you." Choso them replied, making her smile. (Y/n) then leaned forwards over the counter and kissed him on the cheek. Choso froze at the gesture, the world appearing to be stood still for those few seconds. His cheeks went bright pink as she pulled away, practically deaf to all the gasps in the room.(Y/n) smiled shyly at him before leaning back into her seat before standing up with a giggle. She then looked over to Mahito who seemed to be holding in thousands of comments and teasing accusations, his cheeks puffed up like a chipmunk as he bit his bottom lip.
"I'll be back in a few minutes and we can go? I just need to grab my purse." She told Mahito, who nodded while holding his breath. Before (Y/n) could turn away, she paused, looking back at Choso.
"Oh, and Choso?" She calls out. The cursed womb spirit turned his head to face her, only to flinch back as (Y/n)'s thumb brushed over his nose, wiping more flour that seemed to be dusted over him- despite the fact that they were all out on flour. She giggled as she wiped it off, a genuine smile across her face that seemed to make Choso's heart stop.Mission accomplished. Choso's recklessness with that bag of flour has finally made her smile.
Choso watched contently as (Y/n) made her way down the hall and back to her room. The moment she was out of sight, Mahito shot out of his seat.
"Oh my God! She kissed you! She just kissed you!" He whisper yelled. Choso could barely hear the curse, his mind elsewhere. Hanami also spoke of the kiss on the cheek, but again, Choso couldn't hear him over his raging heartbeat.
