Her grip around a blooming bundle of red roses tightened as she pulled them closer to her chest. Her eyesight was blurry, her bedroom spinning in constant circles untill her lids finally shut and consiousness slipped away from her- forcing sleep to welcome her into its arms tonight.

¤ Flashback - 1 Year Ago ¤

"Suguru! Suguru, where are you?!" (Y/n) yelled as she ran through the training grounds of Jujutsu high. The walls were almost unrecognisable, some caved in and others completely knocked down. And awful feeling clawed her chest as she tried to find ber brother, considering the fact that his allies of curse users were feeing as she searched. Did that mean he had lost? Did that mean it was over?

She didn't want to be here as he attacked the school. So, she stayed far away and waited for the dust to settle. She did not want to be classified a traitor and she did not want to fught her brother, so he advised her to wait patiently on the sidelines. She regretted that, honestly believing that he'd win- or even turn tail and run. But he was far too prideful for that, she supposed.

"Brother, please answer me!" (Y/n) yelled out again, turning the corner as she continued to search for him. It terrified her that she could not feel his cursed energy nor his lifeforce, it just felt horrifically cold over here.
"Sugu-" (Y/n) cut herself off as she laid eyes on a familiar body, her heart sinking to the bottom of her stomach.

Her teeth trembled and lips shook, eyes watering as she stumbled forward- slower, now. The black haired girl was in disbelief, her body refusing to take closer steps to find out the truth. Ignorance was bliss, right?
"N-no...no." She whispered, stuttering out as tears slipped down her cheeks. That's when a burst of adrenaline struck through her like a bolt of lightning, causing her to set out into a run towards her brother's body on the floor.

"No! No!" (Y/n) cried out, her voice breaking as she dropped to the floor beside her brother with a loud sob. He was missing an arm, the light drained out of his eyes as he stared up peacefully at the sky. Cold blood pooled around his body, almost to the point that it began drying. The girl grabbed her brother's only hand quickly, feeling ice beneath her fingertips.

"No, no, no, no, no!" (Y/n) sobbed, weakly tugging the sleeve of her brother kimono in denial. She was too late. If she had gotten here earlier, she could have saved him. But now he was dead. She could not bring back the dead.
"He's not gone. He's not gone. He's not gone." (Y/n) repeated over and over again, trying to force her words to be true as she rocked back and forth with her brother's hand tightly interlocked with hers.

"Big brother, please come back." She begged weakly, tugging on his arm again. Her lips trembled as a sob ripped through her, blood on her hands now.
"I n-need you." (Y/n) cried out, pushing on his chest roughly with denial. She didn't even hear the footsteps behind her, too focused on her brother.
"Did you not expect this when you agree to be his spy?" A voice asked sadly from behind her, grief in his tone.

"Did you not realise it would end like this?" He continued, making (Y/n) shakily looked back at her best friend, staring at Satoru with shock and pure heartbreak in her eyes. His blindfold was off, his eyes locked on hers.
"You knew?" She stammered out.
"I know you." Satoru answered softly. Even now, Gojo was not angry that she was a traitor. He never was.

"Was it you?" (Y/n) then asked him.
"Was it you that killed him?" She continued, her bloodshot eyes hard and her lips trembling as anger began bubbling up within her. Gojo looked down at the ground momentarily after her question, the memory rushing hack through his mind. Instead of giving her an answer, he said something else.
"He was my bestfriend." He told her, making her angrier.
