3rd Point Of View

Desolation was a poison, clawing at your soul in order to milk you dry of every drop of sadness and pain you had to offer. (Y/n) spent hours in her own desolate choas, sitting at the edge of a cliff, watching her tears fall to the bottom where the river ran slowly. She rocked back and forth, a few times hoping that the wind would pick up and allow her to tip gracefully over the edge to meet her end so that she may be with her brother.

Suguru was dead. No matter how many times she told herself this fact, it never felt anymore real. She saw his dead body and Gojo admitted to being the one that gave him the finishing blow. (Y/n) had never felt so many negative emotions in her life. She felt angry. Betrayed. Grief and sadness. Too many emotions that felt like her heart was getting grated into dust.

She dug her fingernails into the palm of her hand to distract herself, hoping the pain would help her stay in control. If she let go of that control even for a second, she'd repeat what happened just under a decade ago with that village. She was close to losing control when she saw her brother's dead body, having absorbed just a bit of the negative cursed energy that he released as he died. Luckily Satoru brought her back off the edge before she could absorb any more.

(Y/n) didn't know what to do now. It was almost sunrise, just over 12 hours have passed since Suguru died. She didn't know where to do after abandoning the jujutsu sorcerers. Her hair was a mess, her cheeks red and wet from her constant stream of tears.
"(Y/n)..." A guilty voice muttered from behind her. (Y/n) didn't turn to face him.
"Mahito, leave. I cannot deal with you right now." The girl croaked.

Mahito was a curse that she'd recently saved from being absorbed by Suguru. He was clueless about the world, so young and new to life.
"But (Y/n)..." Mahito whispered, making the girl clench her teeth tightly.
"Mahito, I understand that you were just born and that you know nothing about the world. But when someone tell you to leave, fucking leave!" (Y/n) yelled, her voice coarse and scratchy.

"N-no, (Y/n)... it's about Geto." Mahito mumbled, hope I'm his tone of voice.
"Yes, he's dead, Mahito. I get it. Now go!" (Y/n) hissed, two more sentences away from exorcising him on the spot.
"No, he's not! He's alive, (Y/n)!" Mahito exclaimed, making the girl pause.
"W-what?" She asked him lowly, her teeth chattering. If this was his idea of a joke, he'd better prepare to be exorsised.

"He's telling the truth, little sister." A familiar voice hummed from behind her. Her eyes went wide, freezing in place. That sounded like Suguru...but that was impossible. Suguru was dead. (Y/n) couldn't stop herself from spinning around to face him, gasping when she saw her brother infront of her.
"No..." The girl whispered, horrified by the sight of her brother alive.

He looked exactly the same, only now with a scar running around his forehead and the fact the his soul didn't feel the same. It felt different- so very different.
"I'm surprised that you left the jujustu sorcerers. Where did you plan to go?" He asked the girl curiously, as if all of this was natural- as if he wasn't a dead man standing.

"Y-you're...not real. You're not Suguru." The girl stammered I'm disbelief, taking a step back from him in fear. Whoever this man was, he wasn't her brother.
"I'm not? You see me standing infront of you, do you not? Do you doubt your own two eyes?" He joked softly, taking a step forward. If (Y/n) took another step back, she'd fall off the cliff, so instead she went forward.

It was a hesitant motion as she put her palm over Suguru's cheek, feeling the warmth of him, proving that he was alive. Her fingers then grazed his freshly stitched forehead before flinching back.
"Oh, these? They don't make the best fashion statement but I suppose I'll have to get used to it." Geto sighed, lifting his own hand to touch his forehead.
"Hey! Don't slander the stitched!" Mahito hissed from behind Geto. Geto turned around and glared at the curse, making him quieten down immediately.

"I...I don't get it. How? You were dead. I saw your dead body." The girl asked him. This man didn't feel exactly like her brother but also did at the same time. Something was weird about this but her grief held back her suspicions.
"Does it matter how? You've got your brother back. Isn't that all that matters?" Geto asked the girl with a raised brow.
"How do I know...how do I know it's actually you?" She whispered.

He sighed, looking up at the sky as he fell in to deep thought for a moment.
"Do you remember that day we went to the beach in Okinawa with Gojo and Riko?" Geto asked the girl, making her freeze completely still. "You were so exhausted from the battle the day before that you practically slept through the entire trip." He chuckled, reminising.

(Y/n) hummed in content in her sleep as she tucked herself further in the embrace of her brother's arm. The battle from yesterday took all the energy she had, so she had to sleep it off and the location of the beach was no exception. Suguru had to put put a hat on her head and sun cream on her as she slept because she didn't seem to fear the sun looking over her. Suguru sighed as he peaked down at her, checking that she was okay.

"Wow, she's still sleepy? She even slept through the whole flight here." Gojo chuckled as he dried himself off with a clean towel before sitting on the sheet beside Geto and (Y/n).
"Using her technique really drains her energy. I'd imagine it must be tiring having such control over life and death." Geto hummed. Gojo couldn't help but agree, taking into account that she was still so young. Having such a complex technique was probably hard.

"Hey, can you go and play with Riko? I'm exhausted." Satoru sighed as he leaned back, laying down with his arms behind his head. In the distance, he could hear Riko calling his name, asking him to return back to play with her.
"Play?" Geto echoed, unimpressed.
"Just throw a few sea cucumbers at her. She'll bring the energy." Satoru told him casually, waving him off. Geto sighed before gently and carefully swapping out himself from (Y/n)'s grip with a towel.

It wasn't until he'd gotten up and walked towards the shore that (Y/n) began whining, waking up immediately. She opened one eye, looking around her. She spotted Satoru towards her right and immediately rolled into his side and laid her small hand on his abdomen, resting her head on his chest as she immediately fell back asleep. Satoru chuckled as he wrapped his arm around her, allowing her to stay on his chest.
"You're lucky you're cute and tiny." He mumbled to her jokingly, brushing her hair from her forehead before leaning back again to look up at the sky.

"And then Riko accidentally hit you with a sea cucumber, and Satoru had to hold you back from killing her. You said-" (Y/n) cut off Suguru, remembering it clearly.
"Sea cucumbers are gross." She whispered, picturing that day in her mind as if it were only yesterday. She was only ten years old then. Suguru chuckled, as if he were reminiscing.
"So you do remember. I would have assumed it was hard to retain memories from back then considering how young you were." He told her.

Tears left (Y/n)'s eyes as she began sobbing, her grief and sadness morphing into relief and some kind of sour feeling that she chose to ignore.
"B-big brother?" She cried out, bursting into tears as she launched herself at Suguru, straight into his arms.
"You believe me now?" Geto chuckled into the embrace, making her nod.
"Y-you're never allowed to die again! The only way you're allowed to die is by my hands, you hear me!" She cried into his chest, making him chuckle before saying,

"I wouldn't have it any other way...little sister."
