Kashvi-

“Wait, someone’s stalking you?” Sam asked, his tone losing all its usual playfulness.

I nodded.

Rahul had already taken out his phone, dialing someone while scanning the boundary area like he might actually find something just by looking hard enough.

“Since when?” he asked, turning back to me. “When do you think this started?”
“I was going to say the cyber café, ” I began, but then paused.

Something clicked.

“No, before that,” I said slowly. “That day at the gaming arena, then the cyber café with Sam and today.”

Rahul cursed under his breath.

Sam exchanged a look with him, the kind that made my stomach tighten.

“It’s not just you being followed,” Sam said carefully.

I frowned. “What do you mean?”

Rahul gestured for me to sit, and I did, my mind already racing.

“All the places you mentioned,” he said, his voice now serious, “you were never alone. Either I was there or he was,” he added, pointing at Sam.

Way worse.

If it was just me, I could’ve handled it.
Ignored it, even but these people were my family.

Who the hell was this person?

“Wait,” I said suddenly, pointing at myself. “I’m never alone.”

It came out before I could think it through. Sam gave a small smile at that.
And it was true.

Every time I stepped out, one of them was always there.

I hadn’t even gone back to the studio after what happened with Sanya.

A thought crossed my mind.

Was it her?

“Bhai never lets her go out alone,” Sam said, as if reading the direction of my thoughts.

I exhaled slowly. Again true.

Danish was particular about that, strict always.

Pata nahi kya chahte hain.

Rahul was already on another call now, walking a few steps away.

“I’ll check the CCTV footage,” he said after a moment. “We’ll figure out who it is. Just don’t take this lightly.”

He paused, looking directly at me.

“And inform Danish.”

Without waiting for a response, he walked out.

Silence settled for a second after he left then Sam moved closer and pulled me into a side hug.

“Hey, don’t overthink it,” he said, softer now. “Just focus on your studies, okay? We’ll handle this.”

I nodded.

But my mind wasn’t on studies anymore.
Not even close.

“Your dad will be back with a guest,” Mom said, adjusting her glasses as she read the newspaper. The way she sat- calm, composed, reminded me so much of Dadaji.

Sam groaned dramatically, dragging his hand down his face. “I swear, if it’s Bua Daadi, I’m shifting to my friend’s place till she leaves.”

I looked at them curiously. “Who is she?”
Mom folded the newspaper, her expression shifting slightly.
