I was a man of control.

And after eight fucking years, I was losing it.

Not in business or decisions.
Not even in the life I had built with precision.

Just Her.

I never had a problem with women.

I simply stayed away.

No interest, no distractions.
No unnecessary complications.

It was easier that way, cleaner.

I had learned that rhe hard way.

But Kashvi-

She wasn’t something I could categorize and walk away from.

The first day I saw her, I knew she was trouble.

Not the usual kind.

She was loud without speaking much.
Emotional without being weak.
Dramatic but never fake.

And those eyes were always challenging.

Always questioning my every step as if she was waiting for me to react.

And I did, every single time.

There was something about the way she looked at me like she wasn’t scared to push.

Like she wanted a reaction, a response back.

And I wanted to give it to her, push back harder, test her.

Break that confidence just enough to see what she’d do next.

But she never backed down and that was the problem.

Because somewhere along the way, it stopped being a game.

Every time I looked at her, something shifted.

Something primal, almost possessive.

As if looking away meant losing control over something that was already slipping and I don’t lose control.

Not over people, not over situations and definitely not over a woman.

But then again,  she was different.

She didn’t try to belong.

She didn’t try to impress.

And yet she fit everywhere.

In my house, around my people.
In my space.

In my head that annoyed me more than it should have because I don’t make space for people.

I take it.

And somehow, without asking, she had already made hers.

I never cared about women, never needed to.

But her- she was breaking every structure I had built, slowly.

Carefully, without even realizing it.

And the worst part?

I wasn’t stopping her.

I should have but I didn’t want to.

Because she wasn’t just another distraction.

She was a privilege and I don’t let go of what’s mine.

She didn’t know it yet but between her defiance and my control- she had already staked her claim.

And I had claimed mine long before that.

I tightened my grip on the steering wheel when I felt her staring at me.

I didn’t look at her, didn’t trust myself to.
