Kashvi-
I groaned softly as I turned over, the bright morning rays falling directly across my face and disturbing my sweet sleep.
My eyelids fluttered open slowly.
The first thing I noticed was the clock.
11:00 AM.
What the hell?!
I shot up slightly before instantly regretting it.
A soft ache ran through my body, making me wince as I leaned back against the headboard instead.
Oh Right last night.
A wave of heat rushed to my face immediately.
Of course my body felt sore.
I glanced around the room, pure silence. No sign of Danish, the curtains half-drawn together so no sunlight could seep in, but it did anyway.
He was gone, probably left for office.
A strange sadness settled inside me.
Did he regret last night?
No. I was probably overthinking furst thing in morning.
Would things feel awkward now?Would he start acting distant?
My eyes dropped to myself and I flushed in shyness, pure overwhelming shyness.
Every memory from last night came rushing back so vividly that I immediately grabbed the blanket tighter around myself before forcing myself to get up.
What if he was avoiding me?
God.
I quickly took a hot shower, letting the water calm both my body and my ridiculously chaotic thoughts.
But unfortunately, it did nothing to stop the flashes of last night replaying in my head like some romantic film.
By the time I changed into a rose-pink anarkali and tied my hair into a soft bun, my body still felt slightly weak.
Walking itself felt like effort. So I sat down for a moment, confused.
Why had no one woken me up?
That's when the door opened.
Without a knock.
I looked up and froze.
Danish was standing there, holding a huge breakfast tray.
"I thought you left," I mumbled quietly, avoiding looking at him directly.
Honestly, I was still shy to function.
He placed the tray down near the couch casually while I immediately tried distracting myself.
"Uh, I should go downstairs and help mom."
Yes.
Good plan Kashvi escape so you don't have to face your husband.
I had barely taken one step when he blocked my way completely.
"Look at me, Kashvi."
His voice came out low and I instantly forgot how breathing worked.
After last night, facing him felt different.
All that was left was this terrifying, beautiful vulnerability.
We had showed each other parts of ourselves that would never undo what we have crossed.
"Danish, I-I'm already late," I stammered nervously.
Instead of moving away, he looked amused, I could see it from the corner of my eyes.
