I was walking inside the theatre, looking at the props, when Abir suddenly came and hugged me.

I pulled away immediately.

"What's wrong, Kashvi?" he asked, but I just shook my head.

What was with him always hugging me?

It wasn't even about him, it was just bad timing because a part of me was still stuck in the morning.

I was playing my favourite song on my Bluetooth speaker when Danish stormed in and turned it off.

No explanation. Just control.

"What's your problem?" I snapped.

"And what's yours?" he shot back coldly.

The argument escalated quickly, and before I knew it, I was walking to work with tears in my eyes.

Not because I was weak but because he had been unnecessarily harsh and I hated that it affected me.

Was it because of her? That girl Rahul had mentioned  Alisha.

Was she the reason behind his behaviour?

The reason this marriage felt so lifeless?

My jaw tightened.

Whatever it was, it had nothing to do with me and yet I was the one dealing with it.

Kya musibat hai yaar.

I sighed, looking at the director and the crew rushing inside, visibly worried.

"What's happening?" I asked Abir. He just shrugged, equally clueless, and we both walked towards the director.

"Kashvi, you need to see this!" one of the assistants said, quickly leading me toward the entrance.

I stepped near the glass doors and froze.

The entrance was swarmed with paparazzi.

"We want to see Mrs. Singhania!"
My breath hitched as I instinctively stepped back.

How did they even find out?

And then the answer came from my right.

Our manager, Sanya Varshi, stood there holding an article. She opened it and shoved it in front of me.

"What the hell is this, Kashvi?"

I stepped back slightly at her sudden movement, then grabbed the paper from her hands.

"Billionaire Danish Singhania's wife revealed!! Kashvi Singhania spotted enjoying the Charity Gala."

My eyes dropped to the picture- Danish holding my hand, mine resting against his chest.

A candid shot.

Probably from after the waiter incident.
The media already knew about our wedding but my identity had been kept hidden all this time.

Not anymore.

I sighed, looking at her. "I'm sure there's a misunderstanding-"

Abir cut in, taking the article from my hands, but what was I supposed to say when the truth was already out?

"You hid something this big from us, Kashvi!" she snapped.

I looked away, toward the doors. "I'm sorry. I was about to," I lied, already stepping ahead when my phone rang.

Him.

"Hello-"

"Do not step out. I'll be there in a few."
