Guys I had no intention to delay the chapters again and I am so sorry.

Due to internship and exams, practicals I didn't post anything.

I am so sorry.

Kashvi

The haldi preparations were going on in full swing. The entire place buzzed with laughter, music, and chaos as everyone waited for the bride and groom to arrive.

“Bhabhi, you remember your haldi?” Sam asked, dropping beside me.

A small smile appeared on my lips as my gaze instinctively drifted to the right-

Far from the crowd, slightly in the shadows, Danish sat with Rahul, casually scrolling through his phone, completely detached from the madness around him.

He had planned to leave but Rahul had somehow forced him to stay.

How?
God only knew and now here he was attending the wedding of his rival.

I looked back at Sam.
“Yeah. You and Rahul were fighting like kids.”

He shook his head immediately.
“Not that. Bhai applied haldi on you. Remember?”

My smile faltered,  just a little.

I did remember.

“And you both had that silly banter,” he added, grinning.

I rolled my eyes. “Kuch bhi. We didn’t.”

“Yes, bhabhi,” he insisted dramatically, “you called him a vampire.”

A soft laugh escaped me.
That, I definitely remembered.

Mujhe sab pata rehta hai,” he said, wiggling his brows.

I hit him lightly on the back. “Shut up.”

Before I could say anything else, he leaned closer and muttered-

“Here comes trouble.”

I followed his gaze.

Alisha, walking in with Deepti.

My smile faded instantly.

And almost unconsciously, my eyes shifted again, straight to Danish.

This time, he wasn’t on his phone.

He was looking at me, already.

As if deliberately.

My breath hitched.

He tilted his head slightly- subtle, controlled, calling me.

I excused myself and walked towards him.

“Yeah?”

“Kashvi, where’s your bade papa?” he asked without wasting a second.

I glanced around. “He might be with the groom’s family.”

He nodded and gestured for me to sit.

I hesitated for a second before sitting beside him.

“What is it?” I asked.

He exhaled, narrowing his eyes at me.

“Don’t you ever get tired of questions, Kashvi?”

I went quiet.

Typical.

He hated being questioned but that didn’t mean I would stop. So instead, I just stared at him, annoyingly.
