Fairytale is always related to a love story.

Surely, one would have their own fairytale planned even before they met their soulmate...

I paused myself from the constant typing, leaning against the chair of the cafe I occupied, while glancing at the counter where the owner of this place who were my friends, Evelyn and Jacob- a couple, were laughing together.

I wondered how would I meet my soulmate, I wondered if it would be the same as the fairy tale I once had.

Would I be like Evelyn who met Jacob during our schooldays but never talked to each other while they could, and suddenly in a talking term just after we graduated high school?

"Hi Ivy!" a voice shrieked from my back and soon after I was engulfed in a slightly tight hug.

"I see, you're in a good mood Faye," I managed to say though the inside of me felt like they were being squished out.

"A bit," Faye finally let go of me, glancing over my laptop's screen. "I see you're writing a new masterpiece. Welcome back Ms.Writer."

I almost thought of a possibility to have a love fairy tale like Faye but it just came to my realization that it's impossible.

She's someone who'd never been in a relationship since she was born. However, a guy at her workplace eventually fell for her. After so much consideration, she finally decided to give it a try.

I simply couldn't be the same because me, Ivy, a writer who's writing love stories with happy ending unfortunately was a brokenhearted girl. Not fully recovered yet but better.

It took time to heal - honestly, and the only remedy that I'd been taking was the presence of my friends.

Having them in the same space as I was and watching them joking around like how Faye did to Evelyn right now behind the counter was heartwarming. They effortlessly made me forget about the heartbreak.

"Ice mocha for our Ivy," a tall transparent glass with whipped cream twisted on top of the chocolate liquid was placed on my table, an angelic smile of Jacob had lit up my world once we met each others' eyes. "I guess you need some caffeine to write."

"Definitely," I nodded, immediately taking a sip of the drink.

The cold sensation went down my dry throat smoothly, the taste was perfect to my liking.

Jacob seemed to notice my look that was the same everytime I expressed the tastiness of foods and beverages. He smiled again, breathing out relief breaths.

"So, what kind of trope will Ivy bring this time for her masterpiece?" he suddenly asked in a tone of a interviewer, a pen was used as a microphone.

I pondered as if I was in a deep thought before I leaned closer to the fake mic, answering, "I... haven't thought about it yet."

"Really?" Dissatisfied, he tried to peek over my work in which I pushed the screen down not to let the content leak for free. He grimaced, "you and your reflex."

He chuckled while I was laughing. I definitely had gotten used to this tactic he'd been using.

Not only him honestly.

The ringing bell over the entrance was what had broken our silly argument. Jacob excused himself to attend the customer, not even once forgot to say sorry.

At this rate, I couldn't see any reasons of disapproval to let him date Evelyn. He's too nice, if I needed to say.

Again, I wondered who my soulmate would be.
