I felt empty.

I felt weighted.

I was awake, but it felt like my paralysis demon was holding me down.

But I suppose those feelings were just some wishful thinking on my part.

Just another delusional episode to keep me sane.

...

In a somewhat luxurious minimalist white room with instruments and technology surrounding him, the host Aeon had fed was lying on a bed dressed in blue against the shocking red colour of the duvet and pillows.

He was currently in his given room.

It was different from the rooms other people had, because he was a somewhat well known young composure that came on the show to be a judge.

They didn't ask him to come on simply, because he was talented though. Nor was it due to his impressive background. It wasn't Aeon who had a connection to him either. That was just a pleasant surprise for them. No. They asked for him, because he might die whilst on the show.

It was a messed up thing, but Felixe barely went on shows or outside.

He didn't show himself off like that.

So him being on a show was a big deal.

But he knew what people would get the biggest kick out of would be his death.

Afterall, they say that you're worth more once you're dead.

At least that was a fact accepted in the art community. Perhaps not so much in business or other communities. Those places held people as hot commodities in a more ethical way. Well, most of the time they did.

However, the art community was always strange. The art community like the entertainment community would get a kick out of some famous person commiting murder out of self defence. The said person's company or people around him would probably convince them or just try to persuade the world that the person murdered not in self defence, but due to other reasons.

After that it will make the headlines and they'll congratulate the person on making it big.

The only thing left to do was sell off physical body parts they mutilated. Eventually the price would go up and they'd be able to eat well for a while. In this world that would be the case especially. Of course that's not to say that it wasn't the case in other worlds. Anorexia, suicide, murder and etc. had long since became synonymous with a video streaming platform in more than one world.

That was all.

Death had long since become a matter the vast majority of the public was desensitised against.

Felixe was aware of it all. That people would love to see him die in his deteriorating health wasn't news. His family's branches often tried to kill him before he was even born. So having an international show broadcast with the idea that he might die and increase its ratings wasn't anything new.

He was so hyper aware of this fact that he thought it might be the reason why he had his ability.

You see. This younger generation rich boy was not only prestigious, but was also a protege in a superhuman sense.

His main abilities were time and offensively based.

He couldn't turn back time or freeze it. No the payoff wouldn't be that huge given what little he had to pay off to use an ability like that.

His time ability could remember the time lines he lived through. No. That wasn't the right way to put it. Yeah. It was more like he could just lay back and watch a timeline of one of his alternative selves. Since he was sick it was a good pastime.
