Hiss-

The kettle sounded off in the corner of the kitchen that I was placed in when preparing my meal this morning.

I had wanted to have something sweet with a hot mug full of tea. Naturally my plans were interrupted by the administrators that had chosen to move in this morning. I was tempted to leave the kettle in the corner and pretend that it wasn't mine. But that would be cruel to the beverage that would come to be. And it would make it all the more obvious that I was going to have a cup with some cookies and biscuits to the wooden administrator who had chosen to sit with his luggage near the dining seat that was closest to me.

He knew what he was doing. I knew what I was doing. The viewers probably knew what I was doing- know it all a-

"What are you eating?" asked the wooden administrator in a singing tune in my direction. I, being the only one in my direction, couldn't ignore him.

"Food." I answered back.

"What kind of food?" his voice suddenly became all the more serious.

"spicy scrambled eggs between some buttered pan fried toast."

"What about the boiling water?" the administrator asked lovingly once again.

"Ah, that. The heavens told me you were coming and I thought that you might want to eat my flesh today. So I thought about how I should go about preparing it and realised I should wash the sickness that is me out of it completely. Thus I boiled some water." My voice switched to sarcasm and pure unadulterated speaking of the mind. If I was going to say nonsense I'd rather the nonsense had some attitude.

"I appreciate the thought, but I have standards when it comes to food. But you should really get that sickness checked. It sounds serious. I'll be back soon." He countered the lint in my tone calling him out on asking the obvious and sauntered off with his luggage to his personal room. Everyone was aware that he'll be back soon, it was in the way he worked. Noisy Teacher.

...

Another lesson went on.

It was my navigation class where all eyes were on my group who'd finished the first course under the subject and were hinted at already passing the quarter point in the current class.

The only plus of the day was that the competition was fully back on. Ironically enough the day we were called into an assembly to get the details on the first competition that us hundred contestants would take, more information about our studies came out in the form of a wall of the contestants' grades as slides on a timed presentation.

The host waved at us to calm down, "In about two months time you will be asked to prepare both a cover stage and an original stage for yourself. This must be done largely only by yourself and is an individual task, think about it as your own b-roll. Once performed the audience and judges will choose who stays and who goes.

"To increase fairness on this show, Rain has decided that we will be making all of the results transparent and that a random list of celebrities will be discussing the fairness of the results. For example, if the judges just state that they didn't like the music, the celebrities will ask them why and if the judges don't convince the celebrities of their opinions they're votes will be changed to those of the celebrity panel. Similarly, the celebrities and the judges have the same rights to oversee the fairness of the audience votes.

"It must be pointed out that the judges who turned contestants and the anonymous viewers on the stream will be all sent a visible message. This message will be sent to both your own screens that will become visible when the message appears on it, unless you're in a dungeon or fighting monsters- the screen will come up after you finish doing whatever it is that you were doing-, and the streams screen to show everyone everyone else's opinions and choices for their votes with their real names.
