...

"Arg."

A groan went off. It seemed to have come from my mouth. How annoying.

My limbs were slightly stiff. I wondered if this could be the lead into the much anticipated dream sequence phase people go into after they went into something like a coma. I hoped I could be in a dream that offered me some food. My tank seems to be empty.

Opening my eyes slightly I almost cursed at my bad luck.

Just above me were the now somewhat baby pink eyes of Felixe. No emotion could be read from those eyes from me, but I couldn't help looking forward to staring into the future red eyes. It seems like his eyes were different from mine and resembled the process food colouring would have taken if dropped into milky water. The healthier he gets the less diluted and intense the colour would be. It was something to look forward to. Something that felt addictive.

I don't know why, but it left a bitter taste in my mouth when I thought of the likelihood of me being able to look into his eyes until the pupils were fully saturated was to be abysmally small.

Nevertheless, I was happy to see him looking more healthy.

He seemed to have reached the state that passers-by wouldn't be able to recognise him as being sick enough to warrant locking him in a hospital with a guard. Now he could be seen as some sick student that's working hard in an unfortunate situation. So, he looked better. Although a simple rest and some care would still not be enough to help him at this stage.

My eyes opened more when my other senses were put to work.

The coarse bedding of what appeared to be a hospital bed came into contact with my hands. It was unpleasant, but provided some relief in the sense that the starchy feel of fresh laundry would have after it's been ironed. It was clean.

The smell in the room wasn't great though, mostly due to my sense of smell only being able to smell the scent of iron that the inside of my nose and top lip gave off.

I don't even want to talk about my sense of taste. Although a new chemical taste seemed to have been added to my mouth. I suppose someone rinsed my mouth out for me. Not surprising given that I threw up some blood with a few poisons. It's always been a long withstanding miracle that my teeth are still in my mouth and can heal faster than the rest of my body.

My hearing was the last thing to make it back to me. The first thing that I heard was Felixe's voice.

"Idiot."

"..."

Maybe I should go to sleep. The room I was residing in clearly had something foul in it. Everything will get better by the time I wake up. It's only logical.

Thinking about it, I closed my eyes again.

But a somewhat rough and sizable hand seemed to have reached down to caress my face. I said caress, but it was Felixe's hand that was gently seeking to slap my face.

This guy! I'm sleeping. Eye's closed. The wholllle shabang.

"tak", that was the sound of a crisp slap against my upstairs cheek.

"What!?", my hoarse voice yelled at Felixe.

"You want to sleep in my room?"

"...Huh?"

"Do. You. Want. To-"

"I heard you the first time. Tch. Also I don't know if you haven't noticed, but I'm going to reject your existence if this time you gained some ideas on how to make me heal you."

"I suppose you'd forget how to breathe if you actually healed me again in your state. Hmm?"

The voice above me paused for a second, as I started to shuffle into a position where I was sitting up.

"Aeon. Do you like the way I look?" As he muttered this into my ear, his hands worked to help me sit up in the hospital bed.

"Wh-Why are you doing this to me?" My body shivered slightly at the close proximity and touch.

"I guess that means you do find me attractive. You don't need to be so shy about it. To me... You don't happen to look bad at all. I suppose if you get better, alongside me I'd see it as a reason for us to get married." His voice softly muttered in-between the sound of his breathless chuckles.

My body, embarrassingly enough, reacted.

I had to bring my thighs together and squeeze them as subtly as possible to calm down my raging hormones.

Felixe seemed to notice given the deep voice neared me and laughed more contently.

"Felixe?"

"I'll stop teasing you. But just be aware that it will anger me if you don't make it into the second year of this show."

It was a serious statement that made me wonder whether he wanted me to later heal him when I'm in a better condition. I didn't know Felixe very well, his every action confused me, but that wasn't something unique to him. I have always been slow. This kind of thing happens from time to time when I meet people.

Before leaving the room he watched me eat and walk to the bathroom. When I came out he helped me to the bed and told me to lay down.

When I was starting to drift off, into what I hoped would be a deep sleep to get away from the heightened pain I induced, I heard a word.

"Irregular."

After that I didn't remember much. I had fallen asleep.
