Cameras had already been zoomed in on Trina's face for a while before she began giving her reason.
Outside of Emma's and Trina's perspectives it was a funny thing to see. This was probably, because Emma was being targeted by money and shitty people. In Trina's case... Do I need to explain? The woman was a narcissist. The whole transmigration thing that happened to her probably gave her some more fuel to imagine herself as the main character in the world. Which, I mean, she is, but...
Sigh. Let's forget it and move on. Trina's acting skills were there, but as someone who's been analysing her in order to get some attention from strangers online with my comments, her acting was off. Just something about it was off. I could no longer read the confident intellectual villain that led to a banning of a web novel from her actions or acting. Nor could I see or feel the fear that was ever present in Emma's memories regarding Trina. Was this due to my own stupidity? Was I too ignorant to pick up the horror between the sinister sound that was Trina's voice? If I was being honest... This about-to-be woman was just hella annoying.
"Her tears fell off her face, all wonky. I guess it's official, she's not made out to act. Haah." I inadvertently blurted out some of my thoughts, causing everyone except a few people to turn around and give me a dirty look.
I wanted to shout out at them that It's not, because I'm trash that I'm making fun of the girl on stage. No it was, because the girl made the devil look good in comparison. Either way, when sitting in the raised seats watching the stage I felt no need to explain myself to anyone. It even gave me some pleasure to annoy these people that I don't know, but understand that most of them hate me. I guess it's like how people feel more confident and take pleasure in jealous stares.
Back to Trina who finally made sounds when she opened her mouth for the fifth time. "I-I was given a lot when I was growing up. My family and the people around me adored me, because when I was too young to remember I was born with an ability that made it hard for me.
"It was when I was young that I had to get skin grafted onto me and barely found a match that could work out in my situation. My parents paid a lot of money to have the girl cooperate in the surgery and at one point begged them. After the surgery the girl would only continue to interact with me in a way that made it out that she thought she could blackmail me by telling others about my dysfunctional ability and surgery that she was begged to help with. It got worse when we were growing up.
"Emma gave me some excess skin to stop me bleeding from death when I was a kid, but our backgrounds were so different and people preferred me. So. I suppose this time, I'll use the show to showcase that I'm better than Emma, who I've heard is also on this show from fellow contestants. I'm sorry if my reason was too impure. I just."
The motherly judge looked at Trina with tears in her eyes. "It's okay. I'm sure that many people can relate to your case to some extent. Your reasons aren't impure at all." The words and actions of the judge produced a starchy scent that carried into my tastebuds. I felt like I ate too much starch filled potatoes alone.
It looked staged in my tinted eyes and then queuing the other judges to speak a predetermined kind attitude seemed to be shown in most of the judges eyes. Whilst the judges were looking up at Trina to moisten up, what I refuse to believe was a well done dye job, to paint a touching scene. My mouth was agape when I realised a discrepancy in Trina's words. She just said Emma!
Before I could wonder what poor girl named Emma in the large group of remaining contestants was going to get pushed aside Felixe spoke out as a judge, relieving me of the immediate questions that came to my mind.
"I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but there's no one named Emma on the show."
Taking on a defiant stance Trina showed some of her real personality, "But I saw her pass me by from the contestant toilets before the show started."
"Didn't you say that you knew she was on the show through word of mouth from the other contestants?"
"Yes. But more recently I saw her."
"If you say so. After hearing some things from the other judges please get ready to show your stage. That will be all."
Whispers broke out from the short confrontation within the contestants who were seated in the audience seats. It was the same repeated pattern I had seen in Emma's life. The contestants were all for Trina, whether it was due to them trying to sell their own image or whether they really stood with her in a moral sense.
Some also seemed to prefer the other judges to Felixe, commenting on how he was faking an illness for fame and at the same time selling their own tragic stories about illnesses. I kid you not when I say there were people snogging and talking about STDs in tandem.
This all happened whilst some judges gave comments that complemented Trina and insulted Felixe for disrupting the contestants mentality, which he replied by drawing attention to the fact that she was already crying and thinking of trying to destroy someone's life by naming them on live TV in a innocent manner that had thought a lot about the problem.
In fact, every contestant had to have some basic restraint from talking about their lives for obvious reasons and were all warned not to say people's full names, especially when said people's names are not in the show. Even if someone was in the show saying their name about such matters on stage where they have no ability to defend themselves isn't something people do for no reason. This industry is an epicentre of being portrayed as not being the bullies or end up being said to have done something a lot worse. In conclusion she must have quite some mentality in order to do all that.
Felixe didn't speak up in Emma's life or timelines, in general. He seemed to have his own matters to worry about. Trina, the other judges and only some of the contestants that reached the second year all hated him from what I've seen from both girls' perspectives. For Trina he was an easy target. For Emma, she didn't care about a lot of things and he wasn't an exception. The judges viewed him as a bane to their livelihoods as musicians and people in the entertainment industry. Most contestants that didn't make it far in the competition also hated him. Afterall, Felixe was sick, but had background, talent and fame that was greater than everyone here.
Previously the comments about him in Trina's chapter and Emma's life, were all about his slovenly looks, his imperfection on everything other than music and a general sprinkling of hatred on his whole being.
When I tell you it was a lot, I mean it was a lot. The man was sick and was holding on well for someone that doctors agreed was on his deathbed.
