"You know watching you all speak so calmly to each other in a candid conversation makes me feel peaceful. Is that wrong to feel that way?" I questioned with a poignant look over the audience from this world.
My administrator nodded immediately, "There was always something wrong with you so don't let it get you down."
"But I fixed my health- sorta- kinda to a state when I'm no longer in pain. My screen also looks more normal ... I think?" My voice died out as I continued. I didn't feel like talking anymore.
Perhaps they realised that and all gave their time tabled lessons to their students. The administrator lesson was on every day, to the extent that I was beginning to wonder what was trying to keep the administrators in check. I stopped that soon after another lesson had begun. This time it started with language.
"Be careful not to ask for his name." Felixe warned me, as I walked to class with the other four students and teacher in the form of an Administrator.
I was sure that the administrator heard everything and I had some realisation earlier on in life that asking too many questions in this world was not okay. This world seemed to censor things. Things require a level or certain grade or grade of knowledge before you can unlock them. Take dungeon service for example, you had to become eighteen in that first year of dungeon service to attend and it's implied things would be explained then.
From what I deduced from my universities before coming to the idol effigy university, dungeon service has levels within itself that made them want to go into dungeon service again to find something out or to become better in some way. I just don't know whether that was better in the sense of becoming a better person through a trial or better in a more brutal cut off fashion where everything is better. From what I had seen and heard, it all seems to be the first explanation, but you want to aim to realise the latter explanation.
So I nodded towards Felixe and thought of a way to ask for the administrator's pronoun when we got to his chosen class room for us.
The corridors and stairs seemed never ending once we reached an old fashioned building that could have been a modern science classroom. It was clean and fully equipped. Judging by the messy overgrown front and back landscape of the building it seemed to have not been taken care of that well. We entered to be met with a slight musky smell of the building that hadn't been aired out properly. Ten minutes of walking led us to our destination, as I trailed behind observing everything closely with added interest.
Everything was more white and grey in a cleaner design within this building. The room was white and grey too, except for the large high wooden chairs that were clearly new additions to the classroom. The chairs each had colourful pillows soft to the touch mimicking the feeling I get when I touch a huge teddy. A childish feeling that you think should fall under some kind of category of nostalgia. The front of the class had a huge crystal board in the place where the projector was pointing at. Its stand was made of different types of wood that made its own movements apparent through its age shown on their growing rings.
"Sit." Commanded the wooden administrator as his hand went to adjust the mask on his face.
We sat as commanded.
Each sitting close to the board. Imagine the look on the faces of the other people in this university if they saw our actions. Care had always been shown to the creatures we called administrators whenever they appeared or when we had chances to interact with them- Or at least that's what they taught us during our schooling age and through the news, as a representative action on the behalf of every none administrator in this society. Right, it was like that. It should be like that. It's not a rare thing to have mass rates of deaths wherever administrators walked, or worse.
