Chapter 1

"Ocean blue eyes looking in mine

I feel like I might sink and drown and die

"If you're not gonna stop, I'm gonna break your neck." I said in a serious tone.

I'm trying to focus on what I'm reading but I can't do that because this girl is so noisy. There's not a single day that she's not like this. Nakakairita siya.

She chuckled. "You already said that a million times but I'm still alive. You love me, Liv."

Hindi ko nalang siya pinansin. Sinimulan ko muling basahin ang parte ng libro na hindi ko maintindihan. Classes will start next week. I need to focus on this.

"Shoot! I almost forgot to take a picture with you today."

Not again.

Humila siya ng isang upuan at tumabi sa akin. Inilabas niya ang kanyang cellphone at iniharap sa amin ang camera.

Alam kong hindi siya titigil sa pangungulit sa akin kaya naman kahit labag sa kalooban ko ay tumingin nalang ako dito.

"Smile, Olivia!" she said happily.

Hindi ko ginawa ang sinabi niya. Nang makakuha na siya ng litrato ay agad ko siyang itinulak palayo sa akin.

"Get lost, Raven." walang buhay na sabi ko.

Natawa lang ulit siya bago muling lumapit sa akin at inakbayan ako. "Stop studying. We will go to J's house tonight to have some fun with the whole gang. You see, classes will start next week. We need this."

Pabalibag kong isinara ang librong binabasa ko. I don't think I can study with this girl around.

"I don't want to go." I said nonchalantly.

"Who said that you have a choice?" mayabang na sabi niya.

"You can't force me. Not this time."

Tumayo ako at naglakad patungo sa pinto ng kwarto. Alam ko na kapag magtatagal pa ako dito ay wala na talaga akong magagawa. Raven is a persistent one. And most of the time, I just go along to whatever she wants so she can stop pestering me. But right now, I'm really not in the mood to socialize with other people.

"If you really don't want to go, I would suggest you not to go outside this room. Trust me, you will regret it."

Hindi ko siya nilingon at tuluyang lumabas ng kwarto ko. Agad ko itong pinagsisihan nang makita ko kung sino ang mga naghihintay sa akin sa labas.

Fuck.

Now I really don't have a choice but to go.

"Told you." Raven said, laughing.

Nilagpasan niya ako at dinaluhan ang mga kaibigan niyang nagkalat sa living room ng bahay namin.

This is the worst.

"Guys. Z said that she won't go with us tonight." nakangising sabi ni Raven.

"What? No way! The squad won't be complete without her!" maarteng sabi ni Quinn.

Quinn Rivers. She's not a supernatural and she doesn't have any idea that vampires, witches and werewolves exist in this world. Just like her name, she's a queen bee but she's not like the others. Hindi din nakakainis ang pagiging maarte niya. Pero siguro ay sanay lang ako sa kanya.

"Come on, Z. I know you're studying again. We will leave this town tomorrow and we won't be back for months. Come with us to my house tonight, please?" Johanna pleaded.
