Chapter 20

"Can I sleep in your room?"

Quinn dropped the bowl of cereal she was eating. Val almost fell from the couch. Kaye's head tilted. Noah and Benjamin coughed. Everyone else is in a state of shock, including me.

Raven's eyes are bulging like they're about to come out from their socket. Nang makabawi siya sa pagkagulat ay mabilis siyang umiling.

"No." matigas na sabi niya.

"Please? Just for tonight." pakiusap niya.

"I said no."

Laglag pa rin ang panga ko habang nakikinig sa usapan nila. What the hell? I told him not to do something suspicious. Now he's asking my cousin if he can sleep in our room? Damn it, Collins.

"Are you out of your mind, dumbass Cole?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Val.

Umiling si Cole. "I just want to sleep with some girls tonight."

Mas lalong nalaglag ang panga ko.

What the fuck?

"This is crazy." Jassy said before she walked towards the stairs.

"We're deeply sorry about him." paumanhin ni Jed sa amin at hinawakan ang manggas ng damit ni Cole.

"Where are you taking me? I wanna stay here!"

Pinilit ni Cole kumawala sa pagkakahawak ni Jed pero wala na siyang nagawa nang tumulong na sila Elijah, Noah, Mikhael at Benjamin para hilain siya paakyat ng hagdan.

Naiwan kami nila Raven, Quinn, Johanna, Tristan, Kaylee, Marcial at Val sa living room, pawang mga tulala pa rin dahil sa nangyari.

"What was that?" ani Quinn na siyang unang nakabawi mula sa pagkagulat.

"We don't have any idea." naiiling na sagot ni Val.

"Maybe he likes R?" inosenteng tanong ni Johanna.

"They never talked. Not even once." sagot ni Marcial. "And he's afraid of Olivia. Why would he want to sleep in the same room with her?"

Of course he doesn't like Raven. He wants to spend time with me, and he did not just pull something suspicious. He also traumatized the people here because of that way he said things. What an idiot.

And Jassy... She walked out. I can feel her jealousy because of the way Cole acted. It's obvious that she still likes him. I honestly thought they would be together by now because before I left, they had mutual feelings towards each other.

Napatingin sa akin si Tristan na para bang nagtatanong. I gave him a nod and I know he understands that. Cole knows who I am and his memories came back. That's why he's acting weird. I wanna punch him in the face right now.

"Why don't you ask Olivia what she did to him? Cole started acting like that after she dragged him out of the cafeteria."

Napatingin ang lahat sa akin dahil sa sinabi ni Kaylee. She sounded colder than before. I actually thought we were starting to get along. I don't mind settling as her friend, but now I think that's impossible.

"Are you accusing my girl of something?" tumayo si Quinn at matapang na humarap kay Kaylee. "It's not like she used some magic to make that guy crazy."

"Quinn." tawag sa kanya ng kanyang kapatid. "I don't think you should be doing this." bulong ni Tristan na ngayon ay nakahawak na sa braso ni Quinn.

"What if she did?" lumapit si Kaylee sa amin. "What if she brainwashed him into thinking she's his friend but is actually hiding something?" tinignan niya ako ng masama. "Or maybe she plans to use him in doing something sinister, that's why she's befriending him."
