Chapter 12

"So the one who sent you that threat is a vampire?" Val asked.

I nodded. "I saw it clearly last night. Those bloody red eyes looking at me."

Val, Raven, Tristan, and I gathered here at Tristan's room for a meeting. Sila lang ang nakakaalam kung ano ang totoong sitwasyon namin ngayon, kaya naman sinabi ko sa kanila ang nakita ko kagabi.

"Now, I'm even afraid to go outside." Tristan nervously laughed. "I'm scared for my sister and J. They don't even know that vampires exist." he added.

"If it's a vampire, then they are no match for us witches. I promise to look after your sister, and Marcial can protect Johanna. The important thing right now is to make a plan to catch that vampire." seryosong sabi ni Val kay Tristan.

"Do you have someone in mind that has a grudge against you, Liv?" tanong sa akin ni Raven.

Napaisip ako sa kanyang sinabi. I killed a number of supernaturals these past few years. Many people surely have grudges against me. But we're not just looking for someone with a grudge, but someone who knows who I am as well. That person knows I'm a Sinclair. Kung paano ay hindi ko alam. Siya lang ang makakasagot ng katanungan ko.

"I can't think of anyone." I answered.

"We need to solve this as soon as possible. My brother is getting suspicious about the barrier spell." halos pabulong na sabi ni Val. "He didn't buy my reason why I put that spell on this house."

My eyes turned to slit. "What did you tell them?"

She looked away. "I told them it's to avoid Noah and Benjamin from sneaking some girls inside."

My jaw dropped. Valerie fucking Parker made an unbelievable excuse. Of course they won't buy that, especially Jed! Kahit ako ay hindi maniniwala kung iyon ang sinabing rason sa akin!

Natawa sila Tristan at Raven sa sinabi niya samantalang ako ay napahilamos ng mukha. I don't even know what's funny. We're in a serious situation and they have the audacity to laugh. How dare they.

"You made my sister mad, Valerie. She might rip your head off." pabirong pagbabanta ni Raven habang tumatawa pa rin.

"I'm sorry, okay? I can't think of any reason at that time. I panicked." Val said, pouting like a kid.

Nag asaran silang tatlo habang ako ay nag iisip kung sino ang maaaring gumawa ng bagay na ito. The last time I went into a killing spree was when I killed Dwight and his pack. Vampires and werewolves are sworn enemies, that's why I'm quite sure that a vampire won't avenge them. Before that happened, I massacred a bunch of gangsters. They're all dead and they're all humans so—wait.

I just remembered something.

"Val, did you see a young dead girl at the place where we first met?" mabilis na tanong ko sa kanya.

That girl. I think her name was... I can't remember. Her body didn't appear in the news before and I know exactly why.

Namutla si Val na para bang may napagtanto siya. "Alexa. She woke up minutes after you left that night and she was in transition." she looked away. "We helped her turn into a vampire, and satan— I mean Jassy even made her a daylight ring. She was so mad at Olivia. She ran away from us and we never saw her again."

"What?!" sabay naming sigaw ni Raven.

"Why did you even turn her in the first place?!" muling sigaw ng pinsan ko sa akin.

Sa pagkakataong ito ay ako naman ang napatingin sa malayo. "It was just for fun." I whispered.

I wanted to kill her in front of her father. I didn't know she would actually turn into a vampire. I thought she would eventually die during the transition.
