Chapter 11

Isinara ni Jed ang pinto habang pulang pula pa rin. Muli kaming naiwan ni Val sa loob ng kwarto, pawang hindi makatingin sa isa't isa. Hindi ko alam kung makakalabas pa ba ako ng kwartong ito matapos ng nakakahiyang pangyayari.

"I'm sorry about my brother. He's just overprotective of me. Just when things are about to be good." she whispered the last part but I heard it well.

Kahit papaano ay napangiti ako. Without any notice, I grabbed her arm and pulled her towards me. This time, my lips met hers. Sa sobrang gulat ay hindi siya nakagalaw agad, ngunit nang makabawi siya ay gumanti siya ng halik. Unlike when I do it with other people, this kiss is passionate.

She's still my first love after all. I will always love her, and that will never change. She doesn't know that, but I think she can feel it too.We broke the kiss and smiled at each other.

"You really are something, Zenielle Olivia Morgan." she said while caressing my cheeks. "I saw your friend earlier. I think she's mad."

Kahit hindi niya sabihin kung sinong kaibigan ang tinutukoy niya ay alam ko na.

"Quinn likes me, and she's my friend. I don't want to hurt her because I know I will never be able to return her feelings." I said honestly. "But I'm aware that I'm hurting her either way."

Napabuntong hininga nalang ako. I don't even know what she sees in me. I'm just Olivia. Nothing special.

"What about me? Do you think we will work if we continue this?" curious niyang tanong.

I bit my lower lip. "I don't know."

We didn't work before because I fell in love with Kaylee while we were together. She didn't tell me, but I know I've hurt her. Yeah, I'm an ass.

She chuckled. "I like you, Olivia. I won't deny that. Since the first time we met, you're like a magnet pulling me towards you. But I don't think we will work."

Ilang beses akong napakurap sa sinabi niya. "You're saying?"

She smiled. "I say we should figure things out first. For now, we should stay as friends."

She really didn't change. She's not impulsive, and she always thinks before acting.

"I like you too, Valerie. But I think you're right. We're still strangers anyway." natatawang sabi ko.

"Yeah, and you're a flirt. I saw you that night at the bar." pang aasar niya.

Flirt, huh? Siya itong nanlandi sa akin noong unang beses naming magkita. But I won't say that to her.

"I was stressed. That's my coping mechanism." depensa ko na ikinatawa niya lang.

My phone beeped and I reached for it. There's a text from Raven saying we need to get out of this room now or she will kill us. Naiiling na ipinakita ko ito kay Val na natawa lang sa nabasa.

"Your sister is scary." she said, still chuckling.

"Yes, she is." segunda ko. "Thank you again, Val. At least now, I know I will not face this alone." I said with sincerity.

Pansamantala kong nakalimutan ang mga problema ko, pero ngayon ay naalala ko na naman. I don't know why that person said I have something that belongs to them and how they know who I am. But I will make sure to hunt them down.

Val is having a hard time befriending Quinn, but she keeps her promise that she will always look after her. Nauunang matapos ang klase ni Val kaya naman hinihintay niya si Quinn para sabayan ito.

"That Parker is irritating! She's been stalking me for two days!" inis na sabi ni Quinn at pasalampak na humiga sa kama namin ni Raven.

Kakauwi ko lang pero heto siya at nagrereklamo na sa akin. If only I could tell her that I was the one who asked Val to do that. It's for her own safety.
