Chapter 49

"I hate school. I can't believe we're going back there in two days." reklamo ni Cole sa tabi ko.

We have more than a week break after the Foundation Week, that's why we're able to go home. Ang mga kaibigan ni Olivia lang naman ang nanatili doon dahil ayaw daw nila umuwi at sumama lang sila kay Raven papunta dito nang bumisita siya. Sabado ngayon at may pasok na naman sa Lunes. I hate school too. At first, I kinda hated it when we transferred to Valenn because the instructors there are stricter than our instructors in Stanford University. Val's the only one who wanted to transfer but we all followed her. Mabuti nalang din at ginawa namin iyon. Kung hindi ay baka hindi na namin makikilala sa Olivia. Worse, we'll all die without remembering her.

Napatingin ako sa malaking family portrait namin na nakasabit sa dingding ng bahay. That picture was taken on my 18th birthday. When all the magic disappeared, it didn't just bring back everyone's memory of her. Her things are also back and all the proof of her existence. For more than three years, Olivia was not in that picture but now she is.

"I wonder how the Whitlock Siblings are. It's been 3 hours and they're still talking." bulong naman ni Cial.

Raven regained consciousness this morning and she's fine now. The doctor said she'll be discharged in no time. Nagulat kaming lahat kanina nang sabihin ni Val na pupunta si Olivia dito. Maybe she already decided not to be a coward and face everyone. They're having their siblings drama right now in Jassy's room.

Tristan and the others went back to Valenn with the kids. At first, dad wanted the kids to stay here saying even though they're not Liv's biological kids, he considers them as Sinclairs but he didn't have a choice. The kids want to be with their dad. Gustong gusto ko nga matawa sa reaksyon ni dad kanina. It was so funny.

"Should I be mad? Or should I hug her immediately?"

Lihim akong natawa sa sinabi ni dad. It's obvious that he's anxious. Hindi niya alam ang gagawin kapag nakaharap na niya ang paborito niyang anak. Even our other family members are anxious, except uncle Kinley, uncle Harlan and aunt Vera. Well, they got their memories back first and they already talked to Olivia and uncle Harlan was dead for four years. I'm not anxious, but I honestly don't know what to do either. Maybe I'll just give her the silent treatment.

"I hugged her first when I first talked to her after remembering, then after that I always shouted at her." halakhak ni uncle Kinley. "I never thought I would do that to be honest. She used to be so kind and responsible. Now she's a serial killer."

"If Kaye's the one who followed Zeke's footsteps, I would understand."

Napangiwi ako sa sinabi ni aunt Vera. Ganoon ba talaga ang tingin nila sa akin?

"Stop saying that she's a serial killer. It irritates me." singit ni uncle Dawn. "Maybe she has a reason why she did all of that."

"She does." saad ni uncle Harlan. "I've been watching over all of you for the past 4 years. Don't compare her to Zeke. I'm not happy that she killed a lot of people, but she did that for the people she loves. She's the best of us, always will be."

"She did hide things from us, that will never change. It makes me pissed just thinking about it." sabi naman ni aunt Riley.

Nagtaka ako nang nagsitayuan ang mga kaibigan ko at humakbang paalis, ngunit nasagot din agad ang tanong ko nang makita ko si Olivia na papalapit. Napairap ako sa kawalan dahil para siyang batang nakayuko na naman. Natahimik ang lahat. A minute passed and no one still talked.

"Welcome home, little one."

Parang naging gatilyo ang sinabi ni auntie Vera at bumuhos ang luha nilang lahat. Nakatakip naman sa kanyang bibig si Olivia upang pigilan ang kanyang paghikbi.
