Chapter 48

"Come on, Liv. I wanna play outside."

Naiinis na ako. Kanina ko pa siya niyayaya maglaro sa labas ngunit halos hindi niya ako pinapansin. Ni hindi niya ako tinatapunan ng tingin.

"Later, Kaye. I need to finish this." she said without looking at me.

She's busy painting something and I'm so bored. Kanina ko pa siya gustong hilain palabas ng bahay. Actually, our family forbade us to go outside because they are keeping our existence secret. We have a lot of enemies lurking around here in Haling Cove. Another reason why she's not entertaining me.

After almost 30 minutes, she's finally done. At last.

"I'm done!" masayang sabi niya at lumapit sa akin. "Look at my painting, Kaye." sabay pakita niya sa akin kung ano ang pinagkaabalahan niya ng ilang oras.

It's a painting of a unicorn with wings. I think it's called Alicorn. Napangiwi ako nang makita kong tabingi ang mata nito at hindi rin maganda ang pagkaka guhit sa mga pakpak. Maging ang pagkakakulay ay hindi maganda. It's an eyesore. I understand that she's only 4 but still, I can draw better than that when I was her age.

"What is that? Trash?" inis na sabi ko.

She spent more than 3 hours on that painting and it turned out so bad. Kung naglaro nalang sana kami sa labas.

"You're being mean to me, Kaye." saad niya at nagsimulang umiyak.

Napatakip ako sa aking tainga dahil sa sobrang tinis ng boses niya. What a crybaby.

"What happened here?"

Napahalukipkip ako at tumingin sa malayo nang dumating si mommy. I'm sure I'll get scolded again. Stupid Liv.

"Kaye's so rude, mom. She said my painting is trash." sumbong niya kay mommy.

Napabuntong hininga si mommy at tumingin sa akin. "I told you to stop making your little sister cry, Kaylee Andrea." mahinahong sabi niya sa akin bago muling bumaling kay Liv. "Let me see your painting, little one."

Mom started praising her horrendous painting and she's so happy about it. She's such a simpleton. When our other family members saw her painting, they all praised it. I got even more irritated. Mas lalo niya akong hindi pinapansin.

I want her attention to be just on me. I hate this.

Napasinghap ako nang maalala ko ang lahat.

"Stay with me Raven, please."

Raven lost consciousness and her nose is still bleeding nonstop. She's not responding to Olivia's call.

"Let's take her to the hospital." binuhat ni Jasper ang kanyang anak.

Mabilis na sumunod si Olivia sa kanila papunta sa sasakyan. Napaupo ako sa lupa nang tuluyan na silang makaalis.

I remember her now.

I remember everything.

Halo halo na ang mga nararamdaman ko ngayon ngunit mas nangingibabaw ang inis at galit. I told her before that I will never get mad at her, but I can't do that now. I'm so fucking mad that it makes me cry.

This hurts so fucking much and I can't accept everything.

Now I understand what the others felt. Olivia did deserve Val's slap. She already explained to me the reason why she didn't come back to us and I thought I understood but after getting my memories back, I can't. I don't understand her!
