Always and Forever (COMPLETED)

Chapter 40

Days passed. Until now Olivia still didn't talk to me, not even once. I want to get mad at her but I can't. I keep on telling myself that this was expected. We have our own lives, and what we had was just a borrowed time. Olivia did what aunt Riley told her. She's spending time with her friends and Raven though not that much, but she can't be with her kids. The other day, one of the kids tried to set Gale's book on fire. Just like their biological father, they can also be manipulated by Rafal that's why auntie Riley put them both to sleep. Olivia really wanted to see her kids, but for sure my dad will kill her on sight so auntie Vera didn't let her.

We all went back to normal. No one wants to talk about the impending doom. We only have exactly 2 weeks left before the day of the comet. I want to talk to Olivia even just one time before that. I want to let her know my feelings towards her. I know she will never reciprocate my feelings, but I just want to let her know about it.

Magkakasama kaming lumabas ng kwarto nila Marcial at Jassy. Papasok kami sa eskwelahan ngayon. Pagbaba namin ay naabutan namin si uncle Kinley na may kung anong libro na binabasa sa living room. He's irritating, really. He spends so much time here and I know Olivia's friends are getting uncomfortable. Kitang kita iyon sa mga mukha nila tuwing nakikita si uncle sa bahay. He's being creepy so I don't blame them.

"Why are you always here, uncle?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"I have work here, Kaye. Part time instructor." wika niya habang nagbabasa pa rin ng libro.

Ni hindi niya ako tinapunan ng tingin. He's so engrossed on whatever he's reading and I think it's a book with a mature content. So disgusting.

"You have an apartment. You don't have to worry about me running away again. I don't need a bodyguard, so don't stay in this house because it's embarrassing." inis na sabi ko.

Auntie Vera already stopped tailing me saying she's confident that I won't run away again. She's still staying here, but unlike uncle Kinley, she takes her job as a clinical instructor seriously. Why is he even here? There's no more threat in our lives so he should just go home.

Sa pagkakataong ito ay napatingin na siya sa akin. "Chill out. Who said that I'm here because of you?" natatawang sabi niya.

Tinaasan ko siya ng isang kilay. "Then why are you here?" masungit kong tanong.

Pagkatanong ko non ay siyang paglabas nila Olivia, Val at Raven sa kanilang kwarto. Mukhang papasok na din sila sa eskwelahan. Nakayuko si Olivia at hindi manlang kami tinapunan ng tingin. Bumati naman si Val sa amin at ngumiti ng tipid si Raven. Cole is not with them because he went home to see his family. He wants to say goodbye to them.

Kumunot ang noo ko nang sundan ng tingin ni uncle si Olivia. Nang tuluyan silang makalabas ng bahay, mabilis na napatayo si uncle at inilapag sa mesa ang librong binabasa niya kanina.

"Gotta go, Kaye. See you later." saad niya at mabilis na umalis ng bahay.

"I think your uncle likes the ripper." wala sa sariling bulong ni Marcial sa tabi ko.

"Don't call her ripper, Cial. She's my cousin." wika naman ni Jassy. "But yeah, he's not here to be your bodyguard, Kaye. He's here because of Olivia." dagdag pa niya at sa tingin ko ay nakangiwi na siya ngayon.

Is that why uncle is acting weird lately? He likes Olivia? I feel so disgusted and I can't even hide it. But again, that's not so surprising. Olivia is so beautiful and even though she's stubborn, she has a good heart. It's not hard to like and fall in love with her. That's what I hate. I hate that many people take interest in her.

"Let's just go." saad ko nalang bago naglakad paalis ng bahay.

"Do you love her now because she's your cousin?" natatawang tanong ni Marcial kay Jassy habang naglalakad kami.
