Chapter 37

"I can't believe this."

Hindi ko na naituloy ang pagsubo ng pasta na kinakain ko dahil sa sinabi ni Olivia. She just finished performing a locator spell and it looks like she found something this time. It's been a week since we came here. After the night at the bar, we never talked about everything that happened, which is a good thing. I don't want her to know that the reason why I dragged her out of that bar was because I was so jealous of that Margaret. Bumalik lang kami sa dati at tumutok sa paghahanap kay Gale.

"Did you find him?" tanong ko sa kanya.

She nodded. "I did. He's not under a cloaking spell anymore, and he's not that far from here."

Hindi ko alam kung matutuwa ba ako o manghihinayang. The reason why we're here in the first place is to find that bastard Gale. I should be happy, but I can't help but feel disappointed. This means we're going back home once she finishes him. There's no guarantee that our relationship will still be the same. She has people waiting for her, and I have people waiting for me. We live different lives and that sucks. Kung pwede lang sana na dito nalang kami.

"What are you still waiting for? Let's go kill him." saad ko at tumayo sa kama.

Nanatili lang siyang nakasalampak sa sahig, tila malalim ang iniisip.

"Why would he suddenly lift the cloaking spell? It doesn't make sense. What if this is a trap?" she said, eyebrows furrowed.

Napaawang ang bibig ko. Ni hindi ko naisip iyon. She's right. Gale hid himself under a cloaking spell so no one would find him, but why is it suddenly lifted?

"Please tell me you're not thinking of leaving me behind and go after him alone." I said in a serious tone.

Mabilis siyang nag iwas ng tingin. Tama nga ang hinala ko. We've been through this a couple of times, and it's really irritating. So what if it's a trap? I can fight. Why does she think I constantly need protection?

"It's almost the middle of the night, Kaylee. I don't want to argue with you so plea—"

"Great! I don't want to argue with you either. We'll go to him together." I said firmly.

Marahas siyang napabuntong hininga at napailing. Sigurado akong alam niya na hindi din ako magpapapigil. Wala siyang magagawa. She should just stop being so stubborn.

"Okay. Just please, always stay behind me. Don't do anything reckless." pagsuko niya.

"I'm the Tribid, Olivia. I don't need to stay behind you because I can handle myself." mayabang na sabi ko.

Napabuntong hininga nalang ulit siya. Seriously? Pang ilang buntong hininga na niya ito?

"Before we go, I have a favor to ask." nahihiyang sabi niya.

I raised one of my brows. "What is it?"

"I need to..." she trailed off.

Kahit hindi niya ituloy ang sinasabi niya ay naintindihan ko agad ang nais niyang sabihin. Hinila ko siya patayo sa sahig at pinaupo sa kama. Agad kong hinawi ang buhok na nakatakip sa aking leeg.

"We've been doing this for more than a week, Olivia. You don't need to be shy when asking for it." kalmadong saad ko.

Hindi pa rin siya makatingin sa akin at halatang halata ang pamumula ng kanyang mga tainga. She's so cute.

"Come on." pag anyaya ko.

"I'm always afraid whenever I feed on you. Your blood tastes so good I'm afraid I won't be able to stop myself and I'll eventually kill you." nakangusong sabi niya.
