"DUBSKIII" I yelled as my team shared a group hug
We just won our first game and we're more than happy. We had a set plan and it worked out perfectly.
We showed sportsmanship to the other team and gave props to each other. As a team we decided to celebrate our win tomorrow.
Everybody's tired from playing and want to wind down. After getting my stuff together I left and went back to my room.
I took a quick shower and laid down in my bed. I'm tired, but not sleepy tired. I just don't feel like doing anything that involves being out the bed.
"I'm so tired my body just feels flimsy" Laila, my roommate, said making us both laugh
"No for real and to think that we have to get up early for practice in the morning is crazy"
"I'm finna go take a shower and eat" she said before I nodded my head
She left going in the bathroom before unlocked my phone going to my contacts. I pushed on my moms name before allowing it to ring.
"Hello"
"DUBSKII" I yelled excitedly
"Oh my gosh, congratulations baby. I'm so proud" she said causing me to smile
"Thank you, you know we worked for it and still working for more wins"
"Yes, y'all make sure y'all keep it up. How y'all celebrating?"
"We don't know yet, but it's gonna be something small because of our schedule" I said kind of disappointed thinking about it
"Oh okay, we'll at least y'all gonna celebrate y'all's first win
We finished talking before hanging up the phone, I decided to just scroll on my phone. I've been so busy all day I barely touched my phone.
As much as I love being here and playing with the other girls, I miss being home. Truthfully, I just want to be laid up with my girlfriend, but everybody doesn't get what they want.
The fact that we both are always working pisses me off every time I think about it. I turned over and put my phone on the charger before getting comfortable and dozing off
The next morning, I woke up and got myself together for practice. I'm still tired and I want to get back in the bed.
"What's everybody doing after practice?" Raven asked before receiving shrugs from everyone
"Nothing to be honest" I said because although I should go back to sleep, I'm not
"Can we go to that restaurant we've been tryna go to?" Janiah asked before everybody started to get hyped and started talking at once
We heard a whistle blow before we looked over and got a signal to quiet down. Practice haven't started yet, so we're just chilling.
"I don't know why everyone started talking at the same time" Deja said while laughing, "But y'all we should go"
"That's what I was gonna say"
"Okay, so we're going out to eat. Got it" I said having no issue with it
"Yessir, and I saw on Tiktok their bread get you thick" Janiah said before turning around and poking out her hip
"Ooou" Deja said before patting her butt and everybody joined in
"Hopefully I can get me a man up there too" Janiah said before we started laughing
"You are so unserious with yourself, it's not okay" I said because all she does is joke around and play
"I'm so serious" she said before everybody gave her a look
"Be for real, we know how you get down. Ain't you going through it with that girl right now?" Chance said before everybody gasped as we laughed
I grabbed Janiah and pulled her away from them as we both laughed.
"You're out bad" I said still being surprised at her whole situation
"Why are you acting like you don't know?" Janiah asked while laughing before we turned around going back to the group
"Y'all don't do her like that, she gone get it together"
We continued to talk before practice started, l everybody was all over the place. Practice is always intense, but today feels different.
"DON'T WAIT FOR YOUR OPPONENT TO STEAL THE BALL" Coach yelled before Laila shot the ball and the whistle blew
Everybody mumbled at the sound of the whistle. That whistle's been blowing the entire time and we're tired of hearing it.
"I hope that whistle go the fuck out" I said to myself as I wiped my sweat off my forehead with my shirt
"Huddle up" Coach said as we formed a circle, "Defense, transition — what are y'all doing?"
Everybody just looked around in silence
"We are playing defense" somebody said before my mouth dropped
Normally we don't respond because it doesn't help our situation, so the fact that somebody responded is absurd.
"I'm watching on the sidelines, nobody's playing defense. Transitions are weak, nobody's trying to get their rebounds, everybody is being lazy. Run"
We ran until we got the command to stop. After coming back in everybody was doing what was needed.
Hours passed by before practice was over and everybody left to get ready to go eat. I took a quick shower and slipped on something simple.
Everybody met in the lobby of our hotel, so that we could leave together.
"We waiting on Chance" somebody said and I just shook my head
She has to be fashionably late, always. At least she always looks good, so we don't mind it.
To pass time we decided to just make videos. That's all we do when we're together, which I love because these memories are gonna be golden.
"Bow, bow, bow" Raven hyped me up as I twerked on her to "Lick or Sum"
"He fold me like a pretzel, I'm his auntie Annie" we all sung together in unison
We switched places and now she was twerking on me. One thing about us is we're gonna dance no matter what the situation is.
Leaving them is gonna be hard because we built a sister bond in just a short amount of time. They are the most down to Earth females I've ever met.
We can always visit each other, I guess
