"Y'all don't have to be shy, I promise I'm not gonna bite" I said while trying to make the kids feel comfortable
"Right y'all can ask questions, she's willing to answer" the promoter of my event said
I'm in Houston for a meet and greet and two other events. It's Friday and my last event is Sunday, so I'm already knowing I'm gonna be tired by midday tomorrow.
A little girl raised her hand before I pointed at her indicating for her to talk
"How do you balance school, basketball, and your personal life?"
"A planner and I'm constantly checking things off my lists daily" I said with all honesty keeping the answer simple
"What advice would you give upcoming basketball players?" someone next to the girl asked
"You have to work for everything you want, don't look for handouts. Don't be discouraged either because everybody moves at their own pace. Keep pushing"
"Anybody else?" the promoter asked before somebody in the back raised their hand
They had to pass him a microphone because of how far back he was.
"Does being in the limelight get overwhelming, like do you like it?"
"It's okay, and yes it does get overwhelming" I answered truthfully, "But it's all about knowing how to navigate when it comes to certain things"
I answered a bunch of other questions before heading over to the table.
Everybody formed a line to take a picture with me and I signed whatever they wanted me to. After interacting with everybody for another two hours, I left.
I've been up working since eight o'clock this morning and I'm tired. My driver dropped my agent and I off to my hotel before I settled down.
I replied to a couple of messages before FaceTiming Flau'jae. As soon as she answered the phone I heard music and a bunch of talking
"What are you doing?" I asked confused as to what going on, "Put the camera on you"
"I'm chilling, I'm chilling" she said while laughing and propping her phone up on something
I watched as she picked up a liquor bottle and poured it into a cup.
"Wait wh —" I got cut off by Ivi jumping into the camera
"Wassup sis" she said leaning down and putting her whole forehead in the camera
"You close as hell, damn" Flau'jae said before she backed up and they both started dying laughing
"Listen, we outside tonight on god" Ivi said before they both got hyped, "I'm in Baton Rouge, we outside"
Both of these dummies are drunk.
"Where y'all going?" I asked while waiting for an answer
"Girl, it's a party" Flau'jae said before I scrunched my face up at her calling me girl, "We so fucking lit"
"Aye, we pulling up on all the bitches. We tryna see some ass shaking" Ivi spoke all hyped before I shook my head
"I'm letting you know right now — Flau'jae" I warned her while feeling my heart racing
"It's a situation, on me" Flau'jae said ignoring me before they dapped each other up
She picked up her phone and started walking around
"All I'm gonna say is don't play with me" I said to Flau'jae before she looked down at the phone
"Don't start that crazy shit, you know where my heart at" she said before I rolled my eyes
"I'm letting you know, she gone get you in trouble"
"She was speaking for herself, it's still a situation though" she said while drinking from her cup
I finished talking to her before we hung the phone up. It's something about her getting drunk that I hate.
I got in the bed and went to sleep because I have to be up early. I'm not trying to be all tired around people.
My alarm went off before I got up and took a shower. I picked out my clothes before putting them on.
It's ten o'clock so I'm making perfect timing. I met my agent downstairs and we left making it to our location.
"I love you" a little girl said while smiling at me
It's no way I just got baby fever that quick. She's so little and adorable .
"Aw, I love you too. You're so cute, did you get a shirt?" I asked her before she simply nodded while still holding her smile
Today I'm giving away free merchandise to everybody. Everything that I have left over I'm just gonna sell.
"My mommy took it with her, but can I hug you?"
"Yeah, you can have a hug" I said before hugging her and I can tell that made her day
"I want to be like you one day and play basketball really good. I want to win a championship too"
If I could steal her, I honestly would.
I love being able to make people around me smile. The love that I get from my supporters is so unconditional.
It's crazy how so many people can love you and they don't even know you for real. Being a inspiration to so many people feels good.
